Summer vacation

Don't really have anything planned. I have a Texas hunt planned for just after the election, I'm kinda saving my time for that. I may take a long weekend here or there.

Is that true that Florida is Massachusetts south? Seems like everyone i let done there was from Massachusetts When we visited we stayed in Kissimmee at a resort.. we got there on a Sunday was beautiful.. the rest of the week it down poured like crazy amid 100 plus degrees with high humidity.

Was just in Sarasota in March visiting my daughter and granddaughter. My kinda town. Great bars and restaurants..

We did not have a great time in Sarasota. Initially, we were headed between Miami and Fort Lauderdale.

But we really liked Jacksonville, enough to move here. Go figyah.

I wouldn’t call it MA South. It’s just that no one here is from here (FL). They’re all transplants among some Floridians…Seems like more and more are coming here though and that’s going to be a problem. Side note, it rains everyday more or less around Orlando. When I came down in the 90s, you could count on it happening at 3pm but not so much now.

Seems like folks are traveling overseas for concerts this year. Neighbors just went to Holland and the UK. Swift show in Amsterdam.
I'm chilling in Colorado after Vegas, Mass. and Florida back to back to back. Can't handle that much travel at my age any longer. Took a week to recover.

Yup. Born and raised. Being on the west coast I think I’ve been to California at least a dozen times. My east coast trips are typically for work. Will be in New York and in Nashville this September.

Amsterdam a great place to see a show … saw Slightly Stoopid couple years back.. excellent vibe.

My brother moved to Lake Mary about a half century ago. It's a beautiful place but I wouldn't want to live there.

What do you hunt for?

We are hoping to get access to axis deer. There's whitetail everywhere you look down there, but axis is a much better venison.

I've got a surgery coming up so that will be my fun this summer, for a bit. The wife and I have never gotten the chance to take a real vacation together, so we're finally doing that late in the summer.

Also, gearing up for next summer, where I hope to get back in the seat for some racing, so I'll work on the car a bit.

1st wife & I heading off in August for a Scandinavian ocean cruise. As long as I don't have to eat sardines, I'm good.
When working, many years I got about 1 week a year off. It's great being ******ed retired!

This is what you are after..... ......be warned

It's known as 'fermented herring' or 'surströmming' – or some just call it 'rotten fish' (but it isn't: it's fermented, which is a different thing). The smell might be bad – but the taste is quite nice – and a lot of people really enjoy the whole process of eating it.

My “vacation” consisted of me going to Homosassa for a few days to visit family. After my little trip, it’s come to mind that I have gained too much weight recently somehow and need to lose it. Joys.

Had a friend years ago used to race the funny cars in the NHRA…first time I went I didn’t think I’d like it. My mind was blown.
