Sorta Kinda on topic ...
patriots - Despite RB turnover, no rush to judgment about Patriots ground game - WEEI | Christopher Price
The simple truth is that when it comes to the plug-and-play approach at running back, no one is more equipped to succeed than the Patriots. New England rotated three “feature” backs last season in Blount, Jonas Gray and Stevan Ridley, and became the first Super Bowl champion since the 1987 Redskins to have at least four running backs finish the season with at least 40 carries. And the Patsalso were the first team in NFL history to win a Super Bowl without having a single player with 100 rush attempts in the regular season.
Despite losing Ridley and Vereen in the offseason, it’s more of the same this year. New England has a chance to have at least four backs finish with 40 or more carries: Blount (165), Dion Lewis (49), Bolden (35) and White (16). That doesn’t even begin to take into account the possibility of Ball or (maybe) Jackson getting some work work between now and the end of the season.
