When I first saw the headline, for some reason I got him confused with Vince Young, and I thought, "When did they cut him?" Then for half a second my brain said, "And isn't he the one that was in that domestic case with his wife?" Then I remembered that was Warren Moon.

Wonder if the Texans will do some kind of memorial and/or moment of silence since McNair played for the Oilers when they were still in Houston.

Always liked him, thought he got a raw deal down there...never thought he would ever get involved in any kind of crimes either against someone or had done against him.

He was a terrific player. I remember being at the game in 04 (I believe) when it was unGodly cold and he threw a pass to Justin McC.( I believe, once again) and it was dropped and which pretty much preserved the win for us.)

I was shocked when I got a text alert on this this afternoon. I am still in shock over it. Such a talented, driven young man who had done so much for so many. It isn't fair that a person of his ilk is taken from this planet. RIP.

I don't think so. the neighbors say he was a frequent visitor to the condo. Such a sad story .. especially for his wife and children who now live with his loss and the story together.

"football star" shot in the head "20 year old girlfriend" "wife disraught" i drag my butt to work every day (for many years) like most here; I love my wife and have a wonderful child and....I've been jealous of a Steve (Air) McNair type of guy and after Farrah, Micheal, Billie, Steve; my father -in-law who has been in St Elizabeth's and a good friend who underwent surgery this week...I need to take a moment to stop; sit back and think how truly lucky I am as a husband, a father and to be surrounded by a few close friends!
