Is this really something everyone does? I'm not being judgmental, because I've done my own share of dirty deeds in my time, but I'm just curious now...is this common?

People are misrepresenting what he did. You have never touched your nose with the back of your hand? That's what it looks like he did. In fact he touched her back with the palm of his hand after touching his nose with the BACK of his hand--looked like he had an itch.

I'm not saying it was classy or good. It also wasn't that big a deal.

By next week people will be saying he blew his nose in his hand and smacked her on the back to wipe off the nasty.

If you say you have never done it I frankly don't believe you: I think people aren't aware of how much they touch their face. There are studies of this kind of thing:
