IMO should be

Huh?

No way do I want that to be the OL.

I'll take:

LT Vollmer

LG Mason

C Stork

RG Kline

RT Cannon

Andrews is weak in the run game .... he needs to bulk up ... Stork for now unless he is needed elsewhere. As for Waddle we don't really know if he can run block which he'll need to do if he's on the right.

I'd rather have Ivan's lineup above ...

Stork-Andrews was the LG/C on the Pats only TD drive against the jests

Mason is weaker in passing blocking than Andrews is at run blocking and with this being a pass heavy team, well, i'll take the better pass blocker.

Any combo of Stork/Andrews/Kline/Jackson/Mason is fine with me, and I expect that we'll be seeing a good amount of rotation. The problems are on the outside for the most part, although as usual--we're still weak up the middle at times.

In terms of our "base" pass heavy protection, I'd much rather see Tre Jackson in there as opposed to Shaq Mason. Let Mason come in and pull on run plays, but for the most part I think I'd prefer guys like Stork, Andrews, Jackson, and Kline to take up the majority of the passing protection.

Any line where Cannon (sorry mate, but you're just not up to it) is on the bench will suit me just fine.

Cannon has been playing on a bum foot for the entire second half. I hope a little bit of rest will do wonders for him.

Count me in on stork at center. With Jackson as our hopeful lead back now, I think that center guard combo is going to be imperative in setting up play action.

I agree with @Ivan, I think we will see

Vollmer
Mason
Stork
Kline
Cannon

If everyone is healthy enough to play.

I tend to agree with you, although I can deal with Cannon on the right side much better than I can the left.

I don't really know much about Waddle to have an opinion one way or the other, but judging by Cannon's overall work, it's probably safe to say that there should be healthy competition there.

I'm hopeful the OL will gel the way it did last season for the playoffs and I really expect them to make a big jump forward next season.

One of the things that stands out is the loss of Solder. Factions of Patsfans *****ed and moaned at his play, much the same as they did when Light was playing LT. Ironically, it's not until they're not there that they begin to notice just how good (important) an above average LT is.

The loss of Solder has been one of the biggest problems for the Patriots this season if only for the rollover effect on the line.

mason cant pass block. his strength is run blocking but overall we suck at that.

vollmer-stork-andrews-kline-cannon

or fleming on the right..whichever one sucks less. plug in tre if needed

Do we have word that Vollmer is expected to be available for the playoffs?

Word today is he should be back for the div rd.

I agree. Mason/Jackson may be better than Stork/Kline from ability point view, but with Vollmer/Waddle being new at their position it may be more important to communicate line adjustments to the tackle to operate more effectively. Stork/Kline may be better at communicating the line adjustments because they played center and they are not rookies.

I hope they go back to their rotational usage, as per earlier in the year. Keep 'em fresh.

They might be healthy enough for that in a couple of weeks. Hope so.

And I like Andrews at center, particularly on passing downs. I think he reads the need, so to speak, as well as anyone I've ever watched.
