Stanley Cup - Boston Bruins vs Vancouver Canucks

take care of business mon night and go back to van and catch one break. game 7 anything can happen no matter where the game is played. they lost three one goal games there. all they need is one bounce of the puck to go there way.

i'm pretty shocked at the difference between road bruins and home bruins this series

The same vancouver fans cryin to have them pull luongo..now praise him with everything..i never got that in sports..talk about a bunch of idiots

i've seen that done with most fans

thomas as well

I couldn't even post after that game. Where are the Bruins that hit, win the puck battles, play with some desperation. They looked tired. Apparently they need two days off, it looks like they need the rest.

I don't think I can dislike the players on Vancouver any more. Patheic bunch of divers. LaPierre must be out of the hospoital by now after that brutal slash by Chara.

Pathetic.

Lapierre, Burrows etc, they deserve B Movie roles and not to lift the Stanley Cup.

Come on B's, your way way better than that. Looks like that day off Julien gave them was not the right move.

Intensity, we need some from here on out. The way I see it, you got 60 minutes left in a season. Some of them will never be here again. Tank has got to be empty, bone dry...

Every game at Rogers has been frustrating......B's look like a different team checking....yeah, they are hitting, but sometimes too hesitant...Canucks were hitting everything that moved in a B's uni.....that's B's hockey.

Thomas kept the game as close as it was, no doubt...the score could have been 4 or 5 to 0 if not for his circus saves......B's Defense looked enemic at times.....

The B's penalty killers have stifled the vaunted Canuck PP, but it sure would help if the B's could find a PP of their own....

Go BROONS !

The worst part is the Bruins have been such a good road team this year but they really haven't been the more physical team in Vancouver. The Canucks simply played more physical in game 5 and finished their checks. The Bruins to a man weren't doing this.

I do love that the refs started ignoring the theatrics from Burrows. The only way I could hate him more is if he played for Montreal which I predict he some day will. He's from the province of Quebec and is their perfect loves to dive type player. So give the zebras some credit for not falling for his weak @ss crap.

Like stated above..just get it to game 7..anything can happen regardless of where it's played..and just hope thats the game the B's get a lucky bounce

I'm so sick of these flopping cowards. Falling to the ground holding their face, getting up fine 2 secs later. Burrows (I think) last night putting his skate in front of Lucic and falling on his own. Little babies.

No excuse letting this soft team play more physical last night.

VANCOUVER, British Columbia -- It turns out Bruins goalie Tim Thomas wasn’t done facing shots from the Canucks even when Game 5 was over Friday night.

His counterpart Roberto Luongo threw one Thomas’ way in the postgame news conference when asked for his perspective as a goalie on Maxim Lapierre's goal that originated from a backdoor play from the end boards. Specifically, Luongo was asked how hard it is to defend against those plays.

“It's not hard if you're playing in the paint,” Luongo said. “It's an easy save for me, but if you're wandering out and aggressive like he does, that's going to happen. He might make some saves that I won't, but in a case like that, we want to take advantage of a bounce like that and make sure we're in a good position to bury those.”

Thomas is known for his aggressive play, at times wandering out of the net. His unorthodox style has been a topic throughout the Cup finals series.

I don't have a problem with what he said ... it's an accurate statement. I'll take Thomas's style all day long as it makes him who he is. Thomas would be less effective in the crease and Luongo would be less effective if he was aggressive.... Pierre Lebrun just trying to start sh!t.

and now game 6 is really vital - the Bruins will have to play everything they have, all the energy left must be there and i think will be there

The home crowd will have the B's fl;ying and that little jab by Luongo at Thomas could add some incentive to the rest of the team.....

If the B's score 5 against him, it won't be enough, especially after his poke at Tim.....what an idiot....

He can't hold Thomas' jockstrap.....his defense has more saves than he does....

I will take Thomas any day, he has been the better goalie by far in this series, without a doubt.

Let's just take care of business at home again and then anything can happen in a game 7.

All year Bruins have been a really good away team, so, one more is well within their reach.

Gotta get there first!!!

1 game at a time..just gotta win the next one...worry about 7 on tuesday

they didn't test Luongo at all, put pucks on him and he gets leaky. Horrible offense in Vancouver.
