Stanley Cup - Boston Bruins vs Vancouver Canucks

big game tonight

and i have to work until 9

Game 6 is starting to scare me because both the Boston media and fans are talking like it's a done deal and are looking to game 7 and wondering if the B's can get it together for one game in Vancouver. Hockey more than any other sport can just come down to luck. Look at game 5 and the bounce Lapierre got and meanwhile Kelly hits the crossbar. If the Bruins can get an early goal and get the crowd going I think the Canucks will fold but if they get the lead it could be the end.

This done deal attitude is killing me.

In hockey, you need to hit, I have said it at the start and I'll say it now and I'll say it tomorrow.

Look at the 2001 Patriot team, they hit and hit often.

2011 Bruins need to hit, and hit often. Hit hit and hit.

They need to play well as a unit, hit, feed off the crown. Timmy needs some help.

Can't wait for the game to start...

the Canucks are already planning their parade, they are the overconfident ones.

Vancouver carrying the play early ... interesting.

Vancouver has made an adjustment to our puck board play getting it out of our zone.

GREAT GOAL BY MARCHAND ...

great goal that follows by Lucic ... can we take our ice to Vancouver?

Claude has numerous players playing on their off wing ... nice move Claude I love off wing play.

God if the Bruins can force game 7 why can't they have one performance like this at Rogers Arena? Just one for the love of God!

awesome to see Horton...he looks great! lots of game yet but a good start!

Luongo needs the Depends again ...

what the hell is going on around here?

Not to degrade our players efforts but Vancouver did not come to play tonight. That is never a good idea and we will not keep playing without offense at their rink. In a way this is disrespectful more than the trash talking. It is an arrogance that they think they have this won.

They haven't come to play during any of the away games during this series. It seems to me that the Canucks feed off their home crowd in the playoffs, specifically Luongo.

Amateur psychoanalysis notwithstanding, what would you have them do? 5 on defense after they went up 2-0?

It's not the goals ... it's their play - you can tell they are bringing their b and c effort. Dancing with the devil - if they win it all no problem but that's cutting it close IMO. the Bruins have given their best effort - sloppy at times but their best effort each and every game as it should be.

contrast this with the Dallas mavericks who played their best every game and had no problem winning it in Miami.

One thing about Burrows - he looks like he could stick handle in a bathtub ... he has a knack for finding the seams. Every team needs at least one player like that. Unless you knock him down he will find his way to the net.

Luongo, "I would have had it". Pretty funny how a goalie can dish Thomas and get pulled three games in the Stanley Cup Finals. Hopefully, he gets pulled in four games.

If the Bruins win tonight and lose in 7 it shows the value of how important home ice is. Boston has completely dominated the Canucks in TD Garden whereas the Canucks have capitalized on 1 opportunity per game at Rogers Arena.

I really really really hope the Bruins close this out and take this form to Vancouver for just 1 game.

Luongo may just have the last laugh but geez it would be nice to see the Bruins show them up and the better goal tender for the series hoist the cup.

what a game

Yes ... indeed what a game ... lots of bodies flying in center ice as well as in the boards. The Canuck players got their butt ripped during their time out - they deserved it. Win and lose with pride playing hard mailing it in is never acceptable.
