Spencer Rattler, the Steal of the Draft

I agree that Rattler does not seem to be a reliable starter, so not a steal.
Too early to tell. He’s going to have another start today, Dec 22.

I remember how crappy Josh Allen was his first year.

Maye is the better prospect. But the Patriots are so devoid of talent, especially on the OL, outside boundary corner, and pass rush that entertaining the thought of trading out of #3 pick last year to collect first round picks was warranted.

Only his first year
Watched him tonight against the Pack.
Nothing special
Time will tell

Sucked Tonight, 1 int and a FL...153YDS Passing...bah, I smell Mac.

He is no Drake Maye

Saints are in the worst position in the league. No QB. Old roster. No HC. Negative cap space.CConsistent injuries.

Them and Cleveland are neck and neck for worse position.

Too much Christmas spirit I think.
He's been on Rattler since pre-draft. I think Rattler could have succeeded early with the right landing spot, like Bo Nix or Daniels (albeit to a lesser extent). The situation in New Orleans is tough, but any lack of success is not really on him, per se. I think @State is a little bit of a hype man for Rattler, but Rattler is not a bad player. He's probably a Fitzmagic level player, one who has some success and plays above his ability.

Just for a fun trip down memory lane, here is a thread on Rattler from 2021:

They do have the best uniforms and a future QB1 they got at pick 150! Good times ahead.

Ever see Mac Jones able to make a throw like this?

I can’t refrain from mentioning all the dead and horrifically hurt people from last night’s terror attack. All I can do is pray for them.

Last year's QB class is acquitting itself well. If it sticks, much higher success rate than normal.

Which is why the “ only 30% of 1st round QB’s succeed meme” is fatally flawed. You have to look at the class and the individuals, and base your take on the player, not an abstracted statistic like that.

Might want to consider pick #193 Joe Milton as the steal of the draft.. one game is a small body of work, but this fan was very impressed regarding what I saw yesterday...
My guess is the Jacoby will no longer be needed.. they can pick up a back up to the back up QB for the practice squad.

Having a solid vet for cheap is not a bad idea if money allows it
