I read somewhere that the rams are trying to acquire the 4th overall pick, so it now makes sense why.
I've heard the opposite, that there are 4 players they would love to have: Ricardson, Blalock, Kalil, Claiborne, which is why they were fine moving to 6.
Also that they see Richardson as a perfect complement to Jackson, not as a replacement.
Jackson was at ESPN last week, and someone (probably that boxo Greenberg) said that 2 RB offenses are becoming so popular and asked him if he would like his career extended by the Rams taking a RB to split his job with him. He said no, like you would expect any competitiive athlete to say.
I have a feeling that is where these type of rumor mongering stories come from.
There was nothing adamant in his answer, no drawing of a line in the sand, or any real implication that I could see, only that he didn't want them to draft a guy to take half his job away.
