Specter has threatened Senate Investigatons for the NFL before

I don't know if anyone has posted this before, but I stumbled onto the article below. I totally forgot that Specter threatened Senate hearings if the NFL didn't nulify the trade of TO to Baltimore so he could be traded to his Philadephia Eagles.

I'm sorry, but I don't know how Specter is not investigated himself. The Senate is not to be used as his personal toy to make sure his Eagles wins championships.

On Monday, Specter said it was "vindictive and inappropriate" for the league and the Eagles to prohibit the All-Pro receiver from playing and prevent other teams from talking to him, and he might refer the matter to the subcommittee. He added that he was "not a supporter of Terrell Owens."
