Asking for your support

What made you say you're out on BB? Pick 1-2 reasons.

  • Benching Malcolm Butler in Super Bowl 52

  • His role in letting the GOAT leave for Tampa

  • The offensive coaching fiasco in 2022

  • IBWTer till his exit from the Patriots this month

  • His drafting in recent years

  • Something else

  • RLKAG and OJKNB

  • Still a BB fan/IBWT always!

As he's no longer our HC it's kind of off topic now but quite a few of us say we're former IBWT'ers so I was curious what the consensus is.

I was an IBWTer giving him the benefit of the doubt on a lot of things. But not in recent years... it was being chipped away for a while and then the coaching fiasco which might have destroyed a decent young QB was the cincher. Daniels article says it all. All of that would not have happened if Brady was still there to say no.

I was never one that said: I'll take one and two thank you I never forgave him for those.

"What made you say you're out on BB?"

Nothing.

I always believed that he could right the ship, and still do, but I do think he needed help in the personnel department. I think Eliot Wolf should have been stepped up into a proper GM role, and been given the power to say "this isn't a good idea".

But he's gone. Not going to go an rehash it. His run is over.

Hope Mayo is at least half as successful. If he is, then we win.

my 2¢

you are missing an option.
Still a IBWTer.
The ship was about to be righted. He fixed the defense, this year was all about the offense. Kraft and the want it now crowd will soon find out.

Thought that would end when he left but sure I'll add an option

not a frequent poster so apologize in advance for asking. but what do RLKAG and OJKNB mean?

While I agree that that could have been the plan, the problem with that argument is that the offensive woes were first and foremost attributable to years of poor decisions by GM Belichick. Unless he had a change in philosophy, it's not clear how those fixes would've happened.

Mad Bill GIF

Me, seeing another thread where Bill gets bashed. I just can't wrap my head around it.

if you can understand Tom Brady Sr, you will get it. It all starts with TB12. Strong belief that Brady won all the Super Bowls here and BB was just there for the ride. Must add that Tom Sr does not subscribe to the latter and think BB is the best coach

Ray Lewis Killed A Guy... that is standard PatsFans operating procedure in a poll to have RLKAG as an option. :)

OJKNB is, presumably, OJ Killed Nicole Brown.

Not sure why the OP added that... but then again I'm not even sure why he started this thread. LOL

The crazy part to that was the Pats were 8-9... with Heckle and Jeckle running the show.

Brought back BoB... which most here were happy about... and the Pats got WORSE. :poop:
Hangover from 2022, plus ridiculously bad timing of injuries, especially on the OL.

2 obvious choices for me

Benching butler in the superbowl was inexcusable. Now I say that obviously without knowledge of what exactly happened. But there’s a 0% chance it didn’t rattle some of the other players that all of a sudden he’s out. I wouldn’t say I lost all faith in the guy. Just that I started to doubt

And of course Ray Lewis Killed a Guy

The benching of Butler was the first time I thought Belicheck's coaching decision was the reason they lost a game. Despite his mantra of always doing what's best for the team, that decision was clearly more of a personal nature.

Chasing Brady out of town was the last straw of my trusting in Bill
