Drake was asked did sitting help him prepare for his first NFL start.
His response doing the VR watching Jacoby talking to AVP and doing the mental reps is nice.
But doesn’t compare to going out there and actually playing and learning on the field.

I’m paraphrasing this but this tells me Drake doesn’t feel like sitting helped him much at all and he needed live action like Nix, Daniel’s, Willam’s.

Combine that with Reagors, Thorntons, Bakers, non use in this offense cause AVP wants finished products but these guys have too much god given speed and in Bakers case talent to not be out there.
I’m really starting to think AVP is too much of a perfectionist and is expecting too much from these young guys when the talent and game reps will win out.

I hope AVP get canned if he continues to sit Javon Baker he can't tell me that Osborn and Bourne are better. Baker have the Potential and shiity attitude of G Pickens but that's a diva WR for ya.

Players want to play. This is not a secret.

All I really take from this post is the line "too much of a perfectionist"

No such thing.

I don't take anything a sport figure says publicly in an interview seriously.
I get what you’re saying but, why would you learn more from watching than actually playing? We do this for QBs and no other position in sports lol.

Its not so much that you learn from watching. Its more along the lines that you correct flaws in your game prior to playing so that when **** goes sideways you don't fall back into the bad habit or habits...

Yep, a college QB doesn't know what he doesn't know about the pro game. Watching and practice acclimate him as to what not to do in a manner he may not neccesarily be able to articulate without reflection.

Honestly? While I have serious concerns about this entire staff, I have to be fair and point out that they actually seem to be playing more youngsters than Bill ever did.

Now…whether those youngsters are actually getting solid coaching or not is up for debate.

That’s because those youngsters are pretty much all they’ve got. When Bill was here he’d get vets to sign at a discount for the privilege of playing here. Wolf couldn’t convince vets to come here at a premium now that Bill’s gone. How many FA vets did the Pats pursue and see go elsewhere? How many came here? Other than Brisket that is. Meanwhile they cleaned house and dumped guys like Juju who’s doing ok for KC. Who do we have as vets for them to play? Rham?

Ok I’ll grant we’ve got Bourne, but he was hurt, and Osborne, and Gibson. TE is really the only position where we have vets instead of youngsters. Anyway it’s not that they are choosing to play youngsters over vets, it’s that they have to play youngsters.
