Site Errors - Let me know

A bit OT, but when I was at the FORUM page, I noticed there was a number for the members and visitors on the site at that particular moment. However there was also a digit given for the number of "robots" on the site. That got me curious. What are these robots, what are their purpose on the site, and is my presence on the site giving them access to my computer??????

Have been getting 522 errors saying that the connection timed out and that I should retry for a live version.

I’m using an iPhone with the latest iOS.

Getting an Error 520 message, also this: 500 Internal Server Error

Seriously getting the same as above like I am no logged in.
Close the browser and go back in does the trick.
