Really, really surprised by the Walsh numbers. Wow, not even a hundred wins. I guess since I was a young boy in the 80's I ended up THINKING he had been there forever... Even his winning % surprises me... would've thought it was higher.
In his case, changing the game (along with more than the usual number of SB rings) pushed him to Canton. And... that is what utlimately will be BB's claim to fame. Not the numbers (# of rings, yes) but rather his out-of-the-box thinking, his defense in NY, the 01 season, the ultimate team concept in an era of super ego-maniacs... That is what brings Bill to the HoF.
