Shouldn't the real concern be Buffalo?

When Buffalo was 4-1 I said it was all a joke and the Bills would fall to 9-7 and out of the playoffs by mid December

I may have given them more respect than they deserve

This Bills team is 8-8 or maybe still a 9-7 team at best

The Jets will be 2nd in the division

Bad Hoodie, bad!!!

Root AGAINST!: The subtle change in focus that makes all the difference in not soiling oneself

You're correct! Poor wording on my behalf.

If the Bills win today, I will be against the Bills next week.

If the Dolpins prevail, I will be rooting against the Jets even thought the Bills will still be slightly more of a threat.

Not anymore! All of a sudden, the Dolphins have an all-world defense and the Bills are...well...the Bills. 1-4 in their last five and looking increasingly bad.

If the Pats beat the Chiefs at home, it's a two game lead and the Division is a few wins away.

Baltimore knocking off the Bungles thrusts the Steelers into the wild card, setting up a playoff picture of the Pats, Texans, Raiders and Ravens as division winners and the Steelers and Bengals as wild cards. Right now the Texans would host the Steelers and the Raiders would host the Bengals.

No Bills. No Jets.

They sure will not be coming on ESPN anytime soon for interviews as to how their season is going.

I remember the last couple of times the Bill's had all the pundits fooled out of the gate... They haven't fooled me since. They're locked into Fitzpatrick now too. Never seen a team so intent on locking up any guy who shows a pulse...

It's not so much that the Dolphins have an all time defense more they're playing to the capabilities some of us thought they had to begin with.

Yeah, you would think they would wait until the season play out then give someone like Fitzpatrick a ton of money...Oh well!

Winning will do that for you. They are, however, one injury to their QB away from disaster again. They were also stupidly running Bush at the end to try and pad his game stats. One injury to him and they're also looking at a bunch of losses.

Going to be interesting watching them play the Jets again, too.

Two of the results I was hoping for this round have eventuated. There just one more piece to this puzzle.

Both at 5-5 next week. Loser is eliminated from contention, as remote as it looks for both teams. Two quarterbacks with no confidence and cranky fans. Two coaches on the hot seat after a couple of weeks in the sun.

I think I'll take a nap.

Nah, Buffalo sucks: today definitely cemented that. Even when they were 4-0, they looked like a 9-7 team.

This division sucks besides the pats

Am I wrong to consider the 3-7 team in this division the 2nd best in the east by far? Honestly think the Jests will be in trouble when they meet.

They could potentially finish second in the division, only 2 games behind the Jests and Bills now. Unlikely, but with how those teams have played lately anything is possible.

OK my OP about Buffalo concern doesn't look so ominous after today.

But if Pats somehow lose tomorrow night, we're back to were we were with Buffalo. They would be really only a half a game behind b/c of the 1st meeting. Then if Buffalo can just hang within one game of the Pats the rest of the season, the AFC east COULD come down to a winner take all last game.

Obviously, the way NE is playing and the way Buffalo is playing right now, that doesn't seem likely. But doesn't the 2011 season seem really streaky, esp in the AFC east? Pats win 3, lose 2, win 2; Jets win 2, lose 3, win 3, lose 2; buffalo streaks out then back, etc. Stranger things have happened.

If the Pats lose tomorrow night at home vs. TYLER PALKO, they have far bigger concerns than the Buffalo Bills.

After today, it's starting to look like the AFCE belongs to the Pats. Hopefully they can clinch a bye soon, too.

The past five weeks have taught us that we do NOT need to be concerned with Buffalo.

I wonder if they are having second thoughts about the big re-up on the QB contract...

real concern sb pittsburgh, baltimore, or possibly even the raiders. Any team with a good defense and an accurate QB...and then green bay, new orleans, or the giants if they get to the SB. Is there any way to beat GB?
