Should we tank this year?

its too early to tank ill admit that, but if we continue to play Cassel and stick with him "" for the long term and end up losing a bunch of game by midseason then YES i would want to tank and get as high as possible pick in the draft instead of going nowhere if we did manage to sqweek into the playoff. There are some sure bonified STUDS at the top of this years draft, this draft is waaaay better than last year. A top 10 pick this year you are looking at a franchise impact player. I dont have any problem with tanking under that situation, its the smart thing to do. We can rebound strong next season with Brady healthy and the new draft guys (oh dont forget SD is 0-2 and we have their 2nd).

Any given sunday, any given season, any given career...

It happens people...sure I am upset that we got beat by the fins today.

From reading the numerous posts about how we suck now and how our season is over from one loss to a team who was suppose to be a easily beaten one...it seems to me that maybe this is an off year for us. Teams have them and we are not alone.

IMO we can still go very far with Cassel at the helm and with Belicheck as our coach we will perform to the best of our ability.

I am not going to go into all the frames of thought about how it was our coaching staff that caused the loss today or whether it was this or that....

Stuff happens people. We will do our best after the bye week and move on. I am sure it will be a hard loss for our team to suffer but I think they will be fine and we will carry on.

Its too early to throw in the towel i said that before but if we stay with Cassel and rack more pathetic losses or come nowhere close to beating a good team by midseason yea ill take Maualuga over a few meaningless wins.

He was a joke, but the team in general was a SERIOUS joke today.

Let's not forget, he has a pair of VERY solid WR'S at his disposal, and all he see's is the guy that's 5' in front of him.

He's not some rookie that just came out of college thrown into a shiatty situation with zero wideouts here, there is talent around him, a hell of alot better talent than when Brady began his career.

He will have to get it together soon, but then again if the Defense(?) blows again it won't matter unless Brady is back without a brace on his knee.

LMAO!!! Was that the first year you started rooting for the team? Because it sure didn't look like we were tanking that game to me. Maybe you were thinking of that Pats team that was ravaged with injuries and played it's back-ups in the last game of the season to avoid further injuries?

Hmm, how to put this. Yes, there are numerous problems. The defense, for example, is a big one right now. However, good qb play can disguise some bad defense. Cassel is a large problem right now, in my opinion moreso than the defense, because he can`t seem to throw past 5-10 yards with any effectiveness.

Even if we play our hardest, we go 8-8 at best.

Denver, Tennesse, Buffalo x2, Colts, Chargers, Steelers...

If we go 2-5 for those games we'll be lucky.
