If Moses retires, these may be one-year options.

If Tate / Price / Edelman can't replace Branch this year they're hopeless.

Should the Patriots trade Welker?......Of course, and they should throw Brady in for good measure, No Good Stiffs. :singing:

After all, everyone has trade value. We could trade Brady for, say, the entire roster of the Lions...and the stadium...and a few PTBNL....and cash considerations.

BB cant trade him.

Too many fans bought his jersey.

And the fan opinion is an overwhelming yes!

Voted no. Are you serious?

Better Question is should we trade TB=TD to Patriots Planet for a Ham Sandwich

If Edelman could stay healthy, I wouldn't have an issue with it, but when you aquire Ocho and Haynesworth, then your putting all your chips in the middle of the table, wouldn't make sense to trade Welker now.

I think they should trade him 100% A fair trade would be for Andre Johnson and Arion Foster, maybe Houston will even throw in a 3rd rounder.

This, although maybe get Mario Williams instead of that 3rd rounder

I would trade Welker for Osi.

HELL NO! Chad will open up Wes so TFB can get him the ball more.

We have an abundance in guys who can get open on short/intermediate routes. Welker, Hernandez and Edelman can play that role. We don't have anyone close to a pass rusher like Osi. Makes too much sense.

Stupid thread..are you kidding me?

Does the Pope sh!t in the woods?

I'm downright shocked at the thinking on this one...

Isn't Welker just about everything that we want on this team? Extremely hard working, gives his all on every single play, can block with the best of them, great hands, etc..

There's absolutely no way that Belichick feels as though we should get rid of a guy like Wes Welker, in my opinion.

What is the upside? Honestly? A possible 1st/2nd round pick that we will then HOPE turns into a guy who is almost as important as Wes Welker on this offense?? That makes a lot of sense

Honestly one of the most ***** backwards theories that I've seen since the "should we trade TFB threads" when Cassel was doing his game managing thing back in '08.

Yes, they should trade Welker.

The trade value of Welker may never be higher than it is now and with the acquisition of "85" and a receiving corp of Branch, Edelman, Gronkowski and Hernandez, the time couldn't be less detrimental.

Emotionally, I would hate to loss Welker. Pound for pound, he is every bit the competitor that this team needs both on the field and in the locker room. His familiarity with the offense and his chemistry with Brady makes him an asset and guarantees a level of offensive success.

But championships aren't won with sentimental feelings.

At the end of the day, this is a business and if you lose focus on that...

your likely to lose!

They asked if the Pats should trade Wes Welker
I said...

NO, NO, NO!

Wes Welker suffers from the well known syndrome of 'making sh*t look easy'.

Just because he absolutely dominates in an area alot of fans can't fully appreciate it follows that he is 'easily replaceable'.

Not much gives me a bigger football buzz than seeing Welker catch the ball, take a huge hit...jump up...and give an exaggerated 1st Down signal.

The guy is a flat out baller and has great chemistry with Brady.

Let's ban these people who voted no
