As a Texas-ex who saw Eric Metcalf play in college, I think the comparison to him is apt. Was BB coaching the Browns when Metcalf was moved to receiver?

No worries, I agree with you. For over two years until today I thought Vereen was 5'8" and thought he could never be anything more than a RB who can catch, but he actually does have the build to be a Percy Harvin type. I still think he'll stick to RB as his main position, especially because he's even good at the goal line, but I see no reason why he wouldn't be able to line up out wide whenever needed. If he's one of the best offensive weapons available to Brady, he'll be on the field no matter what the situation is. The fact that he's primarily a running back makes him even more dangerous--he could line up out wide and then motion next to Brady and take the ball. We've seen that from Hernandez and Edelman with success; imagine how well it could work with a real RB.
