Might be an odd picture angle but he looks like he gained weight.
He’s been sleeping in the sun too much

New England Patriots figured out a strategy almost two decades ago and implemented it to the letter. It was "never ever overpay your own FA". So called dynasties like Seahawks, Falcons and Broncos have come and gone but we are still here year in and year out. The only teams which could remotely match our success were the Colts and the Steelers. The Colts was out of the conversation after Forehead got injured and the Steelers are in free fall. I am glad that we did not pay Jamie Collins or Chandler Jones or Nate Solder or Butler or Lewis.
I guess the strategy was never overpay your own FA and somehow make TB to sign under market value contracts.
I would recommend a book called The Untethered Soul. It helped me so much. It helped me to stop be a miserable fk. It helped me to enjoy the momment. You won't regret it.Yeah, I have similar feelings about the Parcells/Carroll era. Had we been successful then...no Brady/Belichick.
Nonetheless, I like to obsess over how close we have been in those "down years".
High was the heart of our defense. He should bounce backThey maybe should not have followed that strategy with Hightower too. I hope these first two games not indicative of how he’ll be the rest of the season.
Yeah, he was out there but looked like he was sleepwalking. I saw No. 51 with "Collins SR" on the back of his jersey and had a hard time figuring that, indeed, was Jamie Collins because he wasn't playing like what we remember.

So was Chung, but I don't think Collins will have the same rebound chance (so in essence I agree he won't be back)
05 loss vs DEN was tough for me.Not a miserable person. I surprisingly got over SB 52 within 3-4 days. Worst loss for me was the 06' AFC Title game. I had a hard time waking up the next day and that day was a long one.
Ever since then, haven't been that miserable about sports in general. I am enjoying this ride..believe me, but at the same time utterly fascinated with how a game of football essentially boils down to a play or two...
Thanks for the book rec though.
It all seemed to start when he jumped over the D line and blocked that Punt/PAT, don't remember which. It's not about him getting paid and checking out, it's just who he is as a player. He's always been weak at the point of attack, and overrated as a cover LB. People here went nuts over him because he would make some flashy plays, and because he was good at running people down when they were moving away from him.
chung walked as a FA.
Collins was shipped out for a mid round pick.

I had never been a fan of a team who was a dynasty before. I didn't know what to do with myself.
The 2015 loss to Denver made me crazy too
