His career was over as soon as he submitted the lawsuit. Can anyone put a clear path forward on how Flores can ever coach again? What was the plan?

I think there should be more minority HCs so I'd make a rule that the next x number of HCs hired will be minorities, whether the owner wants one or not. What rule do you want the owners to live by?

If Flores was a prominent player like Tyreek Hill then he'd get a job with somebody. Coaches don't matter as much as players though. His career was over as soon as he submitted the lawsuit.
Not sure what isn't clear about this. Flores has already acknowledged he may never coach again. Just brings more respect for him on this David vs Goliath fight. Can anyone put a clear path forward on how Flores can ever coach again? What was the plan?
And I would add to that rule that every team would have to start and play at least one white CB. In other words, quotas are not the way to go.I think there should be more minority HCs so I'd make a rule that the next x number of HCs hired will be minorities, whether the owner wants one or not.
Seriously? You think the answer to a claim of discrimation due to race is to require discrimination by race?I think there should be more minority HCs so I'd make a rule that the next x number of HCs hired will be minorities, whether the owner wants one or not.
In the end, owners can hire who they want. There isn't a way to legalize that. Every business owner has that right. The Rooney Rule was I think a good idea but isn't anymore. There needs to be something new and more innovative. That is really where Flores should have spent his time and energy not this lawsuit against 32 billionaires.Seriously? You think the answer to a claim of discrimation due to race is to require discrimination by race?
Well the post I was responding to said their should be a rule that every hire must be black until the percentage reaches what he thinks it should be.In the end, owners can hire who they want. Yeah. That's silly. The best you can do is make the owners consider it but you can't force them.Well the post I was responding to said their should be a rule that every hire must be black until the percentage reaches what he thinks it should be.
Right. With the right political support, Goodell can make owners do anything. Sell a team, fine them, force them to move, etc.You being the NYJFL can force owners to do stuff, e.g. Spygate, Deflategate.
Simply needs to be a decision of most powerful owner cabal to pick on targeted owner(s).
They're creative enough to manufacture some jamoke public rationale. Synchophant press will cheer them on. BURN PATRIOTS WITCH!!
I'm not looking at discrimination as merely a claim but as a part of the NYFL. The only people who can fix it are the owners. The next 3 hires MUST be minorities.Seriously? You think the answer to a claim of discrimation due to race is to require discrimination by race?
Why not? The NYFL isn't a normal business and doesn't need to be treated that way. If the owners want to fix the problem they can. All that we have now is lip service.Yeah. That's silly. The best you can do is make the owners consider it but you can't force them.
Somebody is posting with their tongue firmly in their cheek.I'm not looking at discrimination as merely a claim but as a part of the NYFL. The only people who can fix it are the owners. The next 3 hires MUST be minorities.
Not saying this is the right thing to do but hypocritical NYJFL could easily edict this given that Giants, Steelers and other most influential franchises were NOT the ones in a market for a HC or (less likely) said owners already had a black guy in their sights as HC.I'm not looking at discrimination as merely a claim but as a part of the NYFL. The only people who can fix it are the owners. The next 3 hires MUST be minorities.

Define what the problem is specifically. Why not? The NYFL isn't a normal business and doesn't need to be treated that way. If the owners want to fix the problem they can. All that we have now is lip service.
Columnist. It's like calling Dan Shaughnessy a journalist. Why he worked as a writer at newspapers for many years. Did you listen to what he said or just a knee jerk reaction, if you did listen what specific part were incorrect.
