Seriously, that is the crazy part to me. The Rooney Rule is a de facto sham, whether you agree with the idea behind the rule or not. But paying the coach to throw games is just bananas.

But as for your second part, 2/3rds of NFL players are black. .5% are Latino.

And this number relative to the American population increases even more when you realize Latinos are 19% of the population and African ancestry Americans are 12%

To be fair though anyone who has ever interviewed for a promotion knows they already picked their person and just are going through the motions.

The Rooney rule and what happened to Flores is just the same. If anything it's the reason he had to waste his time interviewing for jobs that didn't want him.

That being said he does deserve a job in the NFL. But I think this suit put a fork in that
