I'd like to offer up what he said, but actually missed it. I kept hearing them say he'd be on during my morning commute [to talk about whether he'd come back to fill in for Mayo].

Anyone catch it? Otherwise the vault should have it soon...

Just to follow up, I can't say we gathered much from how Seau was playing last year in his brief time filling in, but I will say in 07 I thought he was still playing at a high level. He surely had more left in the tank than Bruschi, for instance.

Seau was on Sirius NFL a few hours ago - He says the Patriots are satisfied with the guys they have right now,he says he has not heard from Bill nor does he expect to hear from him.

he also said he would only play for bill. when pressed for reasons listed 1) record, 2) winning formula, & 3) doesn't by into the usual b.s. re: who plays -- gives everyone a chance regardless of draft position, contract, ego, etc

Not surprised. Seau seems like he wants to return for a few games (6 good ones, he says), but he surely wanta those to be December - February games, not September - October games.

Yea that would be cool if someone gets injured he could fill in. Do rosters expand for the playoffs maybe we could sign him just to get him a ring.
