No ADD and ADHD are one in the same with the minor distinction of hyperactivity (the H in ADHD - the rest is the same) - hence, ONE reason - it is Methamphetamine.

First, Adderall is prescribed for more than just ADD/ADHD.

Second, if a player is given Adderall as a prescription for ADD/ADHD, that's a second reason to take the drug. There's a perfectly valid reason why a player might be taking Adderall rather than a different ADD/ADHD medication. Different ADD/ADHD drugs have difference efficacy levels on individuals, as well as having different levels of side effects and/or different side effects entirely.

Here's one study on the matter, comparing 2 particular drugs:

Wellbutrin Sr vs Adderall Xr 10, side effects and efficacy comparison

Your argument was simply wrong.

It just seems to be getting to where it is a significant problem anymore, and there is a lot of grey area in the ruling and legalize.

In other words, I understand the HIPAA regulations etc, but if a player tests positive for marijuana it is well known to all involved, not to mention the media also. If a player tests for Adderal though, no one can comment as to whether or not it was actually Adderal, or if it was PEDs or Steroids etc. It just seems kind of stupid that they would be able to comment on one substance but not the other.

I've never heard a league official claim someone tested positive for Marijuana. What I have heard are "league sources" from the media.. That's what I read about Hernandez. That's what I read about others.

Right. That's an excellent point, and one that makes more sense. It is only "league sources" and not the actual NFL.

According to the NFL, they can never comment one way or another on what the specific substance is.

As Deus reminded us, the only way to really tell is to try and differentiate between the usual 2 game suspension for the "regular" illegal substances such as street drugs etc, while the PEDs get a 4 gamer. Of course you'd also have to take the whole history of the abuse into acct for the specific player, but that would then most likely be a 1 year suspension if I am correct.

U mad bro?
