Umm, no, Asomugha's contract is the Death Knell to any team operating under a cap. This is the reason why Al Davis is open to trading him now. Even Al realized he made a huge mistake dedicating that much cap space to a cornerback.
If Asomugha is willing to REWORK his contract, then yes I'd be interested. Otherwise, no way, not with that contract.
45.3M and 28M in guaranteed money over 3 years.
That's an average of over 15M per year.
Just to put this in perspective - the Raiders gave Asomugha a contract that is RICHER in the first 3 years than what Julius Peppers or even Albert Haynesworth got.
