Seahawks got SB advice from source with conflict of interest

Doubt it was Brady. My understanding was Macdaniel meant the conflict of interest was on their side (i.e. intradivision with them), not a conflict of interest against the Patriots.

In the end, with the way the OL played, I don't think it made much difference. I hope it wouldn't be Tom, but it's a business at the end of the day.

You mean MacDonald. There were multiple conflicts of interest on Brady's behalf -- his ties to the Patriots professionally and also personally (Kraft, McDaniels, Vrabel) plus his tenuous veracity as NFL broadcaster. Yes, the OL played poorly and this could help explain why. The esoteric intel Brady shared re. pre-snap tendencies/detailed tells in Josh McDaniels' offense would be among things only he and few others know.

Finally, why on God's green earth would a division rival want Seattle to win the Super Bowl?

No, more towards the half baked notion that tax rate and distance to Grandma Bradys house were factors in Bradys decision to buy in with the Raiders.
Sure, money played no part in it, like the really cheap buy in the Raiders gave Tom or the tax free state. It was more about feelings, or vibes. Sounds legit…
The Dolphins owner offered Brady a piece of his team and Brady wanted to partner with Kraft.
The Dolphins story might have some validity to it, the Patriots probably not. The Krafts brought private equity in as minority partners, 8% of the team, Robert Kraft received approximately $720 million. Conversely Tom paid roughly $122 million for his stake of the Raiders… in short, Tom couldn’t afford it, if Bob even offered it.

Assuming Brady gave information on McDaniels offense, he did it because he wants the Pats to lose so his legend goes on forever. Joe Montana didn't care for Steve Young and enjoyed watching him struggle aside from 1994. Montana still remains the GOAT of the 49ers. Terry Bradshaw has always been critical of the Steelers - especially Mike Tomlin. Troy Aikman loved watching Romo and now Prescott come up short in the playoffs and you could hear it in his voice he liked to see the Cowboys continually choke. Aikman and the 90's Cowboys legend lives on. Brett Favre didn't care for Aaron Rodgers who Rodgers later didn't care for Jordan Love. When Mahomes is gone, he will also not want any other QB to come close to matching what he did. It's not out of the realm of possibility Brady would want to see Maye or anyone else that plays QB flame out.
How do you know all of that?

It doesn't matter if Brady told anyone on the Seahawks anything, the fact of the matter is that they were the better team, and the better team won that night.
Brady didn't tell anyone anything that they didn't already know. It's comical to think otherwise.
The fact that his bashers are here whining about it is even funnier. Though it could be considered sad.

LOL you really are off scale high on this one. Even if they knew everything that TB12 told them...the fact that he DID is the issue. Don't come get a statue built show up 2 x and tell the fans how great it is in NE...then tell the Pats opponents how to help beat them.

Thats dirty, it's low and it should be something that never comes across TB12s mind. It changes how people used to see him.

I think you and some of the others are overreacting. Players join other teams all the time and I'm sure they aren't keeping secrets from their new team. Tom is no different.

Tom Brady has given us the best 20 years of any player in history. I don't feel like he owes me anything. Same goes for Belichick

None of that mattered. Our Oline was crap and our QB was mentally and physically exhausted.

I'm sure Tom gave him incite as he was recruiting Kubiak. It's a ****ty move. But whatever info Tom gave McDonald was a moot point because the game plan was quite simple which was to attack the left of the line. Both Campbell and Wilson weren't strong at the point of attack and were prone to getting pushed back into Maye. I've already posted articles of players mentioning this and I'm not doing again - so don't ask. The Seahawks secondary had the night off.
Exactly correct! Whatever TB12 did say had no bearing effect on the games outcome. The offensive line as a whole struggled Drake could and the offense could never get going or get in a rhythm. I know this may be irrelevant but I expect a different game and result come week 1...

Show me the link where Brady mentioned "taxes" and "close proximity to his parents" as criteria in his descion.

Whoops, yes, I meant Macdonald.

The use of the phrase “conflict of interest” prompted many to conclude that the person in question was the man as to whom that phrase has been used repeatedly in recent months, given his partial ownership of the Raiders and his role as an analyst covering the rest of the league (and having unique access to many other teams) for Fox. Radio host Zach Gelb reports that Macdonald says it wasn’t Tom Brady, who had already angered plenty of Patriots fans before the game by saying he didn’t have a “dog in fight.”

“I reached out to Mike Macdonald to get clarification on his comments,” Gelb tweeted. “I asked if [Brady] was the person with the ‘conflict of interest’ that gave input to the Seahawks before the Super Bowl. Mike told me it wasn't Brady that he was talking about in the interview.”

I didn’t state anything as a fact… you did.

Also suggesting hundreds of millions of dollars played no part in it is comedy gold. Thanks for that.
