Doubt it was Brady. My understanding was Macdaniel meant the conflict of interest was on their side (i.e. intradivision with them), not a conflict of interest against the Patriots.
In the end, with the way the OL played, I don't think it made much difference. I hope it wouldn't be Tom, but it's a business at the end of the day.
You mean MacDonald. There were multiple conflicts of interest on Brady's behalf -- his ties to the Patriots professionally and also personally (Kraft, McDaniels, Vrabel) plus his tenuous veracity as NFL broadcaster. Yes, the OL played poorly and this could help explain why. The esoteric intel Brady shared re. pre-snap tendencies/detailed tells in Josh McDaniels' offense would be among things only he and few others know.
Finally, why on God's green earth would a division rival want Seattle to win the Super Bowl?
