I noticed you are a big Aaron Donald fan, and with good reason, but could I ask do you have any concern about his size at the next level? Can he be an every down player in your opinion?

Also how much better is he then Easley who could be had in the second round, similar playing style, etc.

They could trade a 2015 pick to move from #29 also.

I definitely think Donald is a 3 down player, otherwise I wouldn't consider trading up for him. His core strength and "combat tactics" are both exceptional, and he has played the 0/1, 3 and 5 technique positions.

I think that Dominique Easley is the only other guy who has similar disruptive potential to Aaron Donald. Easley is coming off his 2nd ACL injury, and has also generated some controversy with his quirky personality and questions as to whether he will be sufficiently dedicated to football. I personally discount both issues, but not enough to leapfrog him ahead of Donald. You'll find all range of opinions on this board, from those who think that Easley is a better value than Donald (Kontra) to those who believe that Easley should be off the Pats' board entirely.

Not sure if this effects his visit to Washington but the Redskins have reportedly signed Tracy Porter

Could have thought it over. Browner is a risk. Maybe they got smart? Naaa

Hopefully they found out Browner was signing with the Pats, and Porter was their plan B.

This was my first thought, I'm just trying not to get my hopes up. Revis was hard enough to not get too excited over the rumors, I don't wanna do that again with Browner.

Fingers crossed, though.

With revis set to make 20 million in 2015, there's a good chance belicnick will go CB in round 1.

Best year ever to go CB at #29. In fact, you can even grab 2 CBs by taking one again in second round, especially if you have S lockd up with Browner/Harmon.

Sign Browner & retain Edelman and things are looking up even more.

Or we could just restructure/extend Revis if both sides feel it's in their interest to do so.

First of all, if I'm trading #29+62 to move up for Donald, what am I really giving up at #62 for the TE position? Will ASJ or Amaro really be available that late? I doubt it. Troy Niklas could easily be off the board too, and his concussion history is still an issue. I don't think CJ Fiedorowicz is remotely worth considering that early. (Obviously, there are talented players at other positions that we would be passing up, but I still think it's worth it.)

We will have the best TE in the game back, probably for the season opener. There is still a possibility of adding some FA depth at the position. And I like the day 3 talent available at the position. Crockett Gilmore, Joe Don Duncan, Richard Rodgers, Jake Murphy, Marcel Jensen. Colt Lyerla and AC Leonard are moon shots with big issues, but tons of talent. Logan Thomas and Larry Webster are conversion projects, but have elite measurables. Trey Millard, Trey Burton and Gator Hoskins are talented H-back guys. And Mark Harrison is still a potential hybrid WR/TE conversion. Lots of those guys could make for a deep and talented TE group along with Gronk and Hooman. I don't see any need to absolutely take a TE in the first 2 rounds. I'd welcome ASJ or Amaro if they fell to the right range where we had a pick, but I don't think I'd orient my draft around them.

Donald, OTOH, is a guy who I think could have a transformational effect on the DL, as Revis will have on the back end (and I'm hopeful that Jamie Collins could potentially have at the second level).

So my answer is "yes", I do it if Donald is available in that range, regardless.

You might be giving up a chance to draft a talented WR like Allen Robinson, Jarvis Landry, Jordan Matthews, Brandin Cooks or Odell Beckham, all preferable IMO to the likes of Jason Avant and Brandan Lafell, as well as anyone they currently have on their roster outside of possibly Dobson and Amendola, and maybe even over those two as well.

Not saying I wouldn't do it but this team needs receivers, as well as other positions.

Odell Beckham and Brandin Cooks will likely be off the board by 29, not to mention 62. Allen Robinson will probably go late 1st/early 2nd. In any case, I'm personally willing to give that up. I understand not everyone will be.

True, but there is no way to predict that two months from now at the draft. I'm willing to bet BB takes the cautious approach and drafts a CB in round 1 unless all of good ones are taken by 29.

Are you talking about this year's draft?

I don't think there's much chance that happens. We're flush at CB and there are invariably going to be delicious prospects available at 29 who fit positions of immediate need (DT/TE).

In my opinion, with the pickup of Revis, I think we are going to need more cheap, quality players, and preferably guys who can step in right away and fill holes. theyd probably be safer, less upside type players. if we get rookies to do this the positions that fill those type of needs are usually lineman.

lets draft a TE, OG or DT/DE in first two rounds. fill other holes via Free agency.

I see a bunch of 1st round talent at CB and a huge number of question marks at TE after Ebron. Anyone who watched Jace Amaro at the combine has to be holding their breath at the thought of drafting him in the first round.

Any news on whether or not he is still in Foxboro?
