Hi All,

Long time lurker -- never posted, but I have questions that I haven't found answers to.

I remember a few years ago hearing that the Pats are one of the few teams (if not the only) that does not subscribe to a scouting service. Does anyone know if this is true? It makes sense since the Pats criteria is different than a lot of teams. Also since Belichick's dad was such a pioneer in this field I would be interested to know how they do things. Some journalist should do a story on this. It might be part of the reason the media never pick who the Pats are going to pick. Finally, I suspect it would cost more money to do it as an organization. Is that the reason other teams don't do it?

Any thoughts?

Yes it is true. There are 5 teams unaffiliated with either the National or Blesto scouting services. They are: NE, Baltimore, Indy, Washington, and Oakland. You can read more about the scouting organizations here...http://draftdaddy.com/features/blesto.cfm
