I think that Schefter is right about what the Redskins should do here. The Redskins have screwed the pooch with this Cousins contract. It was ridiculous when the Redskins couldn't get him signed last off-season. And even then, there was a feeling that the Redskins were never going to be able to sign him. The Redskins should have moved on from him last year! The Redskins franchising him again this year, was just plain stupid of the Redskins. He obviously doesn't want to play for the Redskins, and its not like he is a great QB for the Redskins. He has enough talent to help the Redskins get into the playoffs. But he is not worth the 50 Million dollars that the Redskins are going to end up paying him for the last two years!
I'm in DC now, and I saw Cousins on the local news last night and he has had enough of the Redskins. I'm sure that he is laughing all the way to the bank on the money that the Redskins are paying him, but it is clear, he doesn't want to play for the Redskins.
Now, I have no idea who the Redskins would trade with, who is going to fork over any real compensation to the Redskins for a non-elite twice franchised QB, that the is prohibited from signing a long term deal until after this season.
