SB 59 Chiefs vs Eagles

Are the Bengals the only current lineup (i.e. not Bill/Brady Pats) that have beaten the Chiefs in the AFCCG?

Who do you got? Not who you want to win.

Eagles have the run game, receivers, OL, and DL advantage.

What they don't have is Mahomes.

Not so sure why people immediately place Eagles DL over Chiefs. Chiefs DL is like an old Patriots front. Doesn't make mistakes, keeps the pocket in control and can collapse it. Very stifling. Their weakest one the run, but Spag will make a good gameplan to stop it without selling out.

I usually love watching the playoffs, even when the Pats aren’t in it… but with the exception of a couple games, the games weren’t great, pretty much every team I was rooting for lost, and the two teams I hate the most make it to the SB… And now I have to root for the Eagles - I need to go take a shower

Chiefs win and 3peat. The defense is elite, the coaching on both sides is elite and the play calling during critical moments is elite. The team is also very experienced. It's very impressive what they have done in KC but who are the beating to do it? They haven't had to face nowhere near the competition the Pats did back then. No Greatest Show on Turf, Legion of Boom, Manning Colts/Broncos, Shannahan Broncos, Steelers, Ray Lewis & Ed Reed Ravens, Drew Brees Saints. The "Mahomes" Chiefs faced one "legend" twice and lost BOTH times. They haven't even played a recent winning Super Bowl team (other than the Pats) in an AFC Championship game or in the Super Bowl. Easy peasy for them...
The Chiefs don't deserve to be sniffing the SB this year. Carried all season in an almost criminal way by the refs.

Eagles will lead by 10 heading into the fourth quarter.

No holding call will go against the Chiefs in the 4th quarter, including a few obvious ones not being called. Hurts will throw a soul crushing interception with 4 minutes left.

Chiefs will win.

That's usually how those ****ing things work.

Yes, but they've had all those NFL League Office scandals created with much aplomb by that marketing genius Herr Goodell to deal with as well as loss of draft picks and Mahomes' suspension due to rubbing his balls in public. How do they do it?

I am upset that the Chiefs will most likely win and cement themselves as the greatest dynasty of all time. I hate them!

@Ian cant believe a chiefs toady is posting the super bowl thread on the Patriots board. This is all kinds of wrong
LOL, I'll give @MahomestoKelce being the OP in this pregame thread because he's at least being cool about it. But should they win, I'm going to have to ask him to go find a Chiefs board to celebrate at. Definitely don't need to hear about it here.

Usually when one team has better OL AND DL that team will win
On talent and paper Eagles should win.
Maybe a brilliant game plan by Reid and Spags and Mahomes magic overcomes talent gap
Eagles should be favored by 2

Who do you got? Not who you want to win.

KC has the advantage at QB, HC, refs and TE. Honestly, that might be enough to overcome any other advantages the Eagles have.

34-28 KC
I’m sorry I just threw up give me a minute and I’ll get back with some comments!

So they're the Manning Colts, essentially? Or maybe the Ravens? It's really bad when the competitiveness of the NFL is dependent on Cincinnati.

Not a lot of great QBs in the league right now. The NFL is in this weird changing of the guard with so many of the greats retiring in the last 5-7 years. Sort of opened the door for this, and it's clear neither Buffalo or the Ravens are coached anywhere close to the level Andy Reid is at, as we saw yesterday. So those two clubs lose that battle 9 times out of 10.

I honestly don't know who stops them moving forward, given the current state of the league. Until Reid decides to hang it up, they're in an unbelievable spot right now. Or at least that's what it feels like.

And Mahomes is kind of the perfect QB for him. He just keeps the play going until he finds something. They really do seem unstoppable.

He just doesn't do anything stupid at key points of the game. You go back and look at any of these recent games down the stretch, and that was the difference for several teams. Plus, Reid continually puts him in a position to make plays, and the guy just does it. I have to give Reid credit, he's the offensive version of Belichick. And I'm not saying anything negative about Spags. I would put him right behind Bill in this modern era and the fact he's with Reid right now is an absolutely solid pairing, as we've seen.
