Sam Monson changes his tune on Brady

Now he says that not only is Brady a top 5 QB, but he is the best QB in the NFL.

Tom Brady is not a Top 5 QB in the NFL. Right now he is No. 1.

After the struggles of September a motivated Brady, with a point to prove, has been on fire over the month of October and into November with the dismantling of Peyton Manning’s Denver Broncos on Sunday. The Patriots have gone from looking like a team that could lose their grip on the division and struggle to make the playoffs to looking as good as any team in the AFC.

Tom Brady has gone from looking like a quarterback who was struggling to counter the effects of Father Time on his skill set to a player completely comfortable in his abilities, the players around him and the scheme. Brady has been re-born.

It is still PFF so I don't put any stock in their analysis, but it is interesting yet another writer who made headlines burying Brady is eating crow today.

Never read him or that site and will not read this. It must be nice to say outlandish things, be completely wrong, then be able to say the opposite a few months later. When Brady has a bad game or two again, will he then be showing his age and no longer on the Mt. Rushmore of NFL QBs?

There are posters on this forum with much higher football IQs who, in their spare time and out of sheer interest in the game of football, deliver us much better analysis than the frauds at PFF.

PFF serves crap for money. Monson has always been a hack, and I'm glad it's being exposed in this instance. These guys don't have the wherewithal to supply legitimate analysis, and even if they did, they are far too motivated by getting attention to give unbiased analysis.
