Saints fans still complaining about the refs

I never had any problem with the Saints and often rooted for them in non AFC games. I always thought they're fan base was decent.... Add the Saints to my list of teams I don't care for.

I know I said I was done, but jeez.....you guys sound like a bunch of women. Is this Patsfans.com or Real Housewives of Orange County?

All this ninnying, backbiting, going around calling people low-class and whatever. Get over yourselves. Me and a few other Saints fans have come here and been nothing but respectful to you and your team, and we end up having to listen to how awful we are.

Fans of every team - EVERY TEAM - complain about officiating. That is just the way it is. If you can't handle that, then you should probably get off the internet. Or at least find something more productive to do with your time than scouring other teams' message boards looking for some small slight against your own so you can come back here and look down your nose and talk about how you "lost all respect for them." I respect the hell out of your team and that extends to the fans as a whole, and there have been plenty of good ones with good things to say.

But if stuff like the petty garbage above is what so many of you have to offer then it's no wonder all the AFC team fans hate you guys. It's THREE DAYS LATER!!! YOU WON THE GAME!!! GET OVER IT!!! It's one thing to be a sore loser, but being a sore winner is just off-the-charts pathetic.

Seriously, get over yourselves.

LOL, while I actually agree with this guy on his points about deriding an entire fan base because of a few internet posters, it always amazes me when fans of one team go to another team's discussion boards and expect people who root for the other team to agree with them.

It's silly of Pats fans to go to NO boards and expect that the Patriots are going to be treated there with love and respect, especially with the late L we hung on them. By the same token, it's silly of NO fans to come here and expect Pats fans will agree that the refs handed the Pats the game.

As I've said before, if you are looking for others to agree with you, then stick to discussion boards for your own team, and try to have a thick skin.

Agree with what? I don't think I've been in any arguments here at all. Not trying to start any either. I agree on just about everything you said except, please don't throw out the "thick skin" cliche. That has nothing to do with any of this.

What we saw Sunday was a great game between two very good teams. I don't know why that suddenly has to become a pissing match about how awful the other team's fans are.

I guess I have to explain the irony that you are here on a Pats fans message board complaining that Pats fans are going to NO boards, finding disses against the Pats, and coming back here on their own boards to complain about them...

That would only be ironic if I was going back to the Saints board to complain about this thread and talk about what jerks all Patriots fans are. I have not done that. Nor do I intend to.

The only reason I signed up for this board was to talk some football before and after the game. That's all. But apparently certain people need to turn it into a gripefest about Saints fans. I am not going to sit here and listen to people talk about how low-class we supposedly are when I and others have been nothing but respectful and appreciative of what a great game we just saw.

If you took offense then I am sorry, but it needed to be said. And that is really the last word I have on this topic.

Seriously good luck the rest of the year, would love to see these two teams meet in the big game.

The people who are happy Mayo is injured and calling it karma are classless and disgusting, same with the people laughing at Amendolas concussion. If you aren't "in that number" then we aren't talking about you. Better?

I hate to say it, but I think the Saints do have a lot of gripe over. Let's face it, if you were a Saints fan you would be pissed at the calls too! I know I would.

On this board, there are many people who complain about officials anytime we lose. So it's entirely possible that sometimes officials can make calls that go in the Patriots' favor as well.

I'll admit it. I think we got the benefit of a few calls. I'm not ashamed to admit it. After all, we know we've suffered from bad calls in the past. Those are the breaks, I'm just glad we were on the beneficiary side of the calls this time.

That false start on the Saints was not only atrocious but pretty much took some points off the board.

You don't have to listen to anything. The door is that way ^

Fans of every team - EVERY TEAM - complain about officiating. That is just the way it is. If you can't handle that, then you should probably get off the internet.

We know that. There's always a small subset of the losing team's fans that blame the refs. We probably know that better than anyone, since the Pats have been the winning team (and therefore the beneficiary of a vast NFL conspiracy) more times over the past decade than anyone else.

But there are degrees. The reaction of the Saints fan base has been the largest both in scope and in intensity that I've seen this side of Baltimore. It doesn't mean that you, personally, are a bad fan. It means that your fan base largely sucks. And before you say it, yes, I know, there are a ton of jerks in the Patriots fan base too.

Or at least find something more productive to do with your time than scouring other teams' message boards looking for some small slight against your own so you can come back here and look down your nose and talk about how you "lost all respect for them." It's not "scouring other teams' message boards looking for some small slight." I heard that Saints fans were being asshats about the Mayo injury, so I went over to SaintsReport, saw the Mayo-out-for-season thread at the very top of the forum (it was the #1 thread at the time), and skimmed it enough to know that >50% of the posts on there were people expressing happiness that he's done. I didn't go out of my way to look for it. Didn't have to.

I hate the Jets and I hate the Ravens. Most Pats fans feel the same way. When Webb, Reed, and Lewis went down last year, I'm sure you could find an isolated jagoff here and there who was cheering the injury. But if you go back to the threads on here, the overwhelming majority of our fans were not happy to hear it. Injuries suck, no matter who they're happening to.

If it was a couple of isolated basement-dwellers, then of course, that's just inevitable. But when >50% of one of the largest Saints communities on the net is expressing outright happiness over players getting injured, then that makes them a bunch of butthurt, classless clowns. I'm sorry that you have to share a rooting interest with those guys, because you seemed like a stand up person right up until this post, but I've honestly never seen the majority of a fan community unite in cheering over injuries. It's pathetic, and of course it's going to inform my perception of the Saints' fanbase at large moving forward.

And there it is. No offense, but we don't need a lecture from a Saints fan, of all people, on how everyone hates us. I'll just leave it at that, and don't let the door hit you on the way out.

I am not going to sit here and listen to people talk about how low-class we supposedly are when I and others have been nothing but respectful and appreciative of what a great game we just saw.

Seriously? You think you need to be here, on this forum, to defend the Saints? Why do you care what we say? A lotta teams talk s*** about us all the time, but we don't run to their forums and try provin how wrong they are. Who got time for internet drama? We let the actual game do the talkin for us.

There are some. There are a lot more telling them to get over it. We had far more to gripe about after the Ravens regular season loss last year, by orders of magnitude, than the Saints have to gripe about over this. Yet we *****ed about it half as hard and for half as long then got over it. We certainly weren't so butthurt over it that we responded happily upon learning about all of their injuries following that game.

When the Pats had a game-winning touchdown against the Cardinals called back on one of the most questionable holding calls I've ever seen last year, we didn't ***** about it even a quarter as much as Saints fans are about the Solder non-call. I don't like to generalize when dealing with an entire fanbase, but there's something to be said for the fact that wherever you look, the majority of Saints fans seem to all be reacting the same way.

Every fan base has it's tools but there have been a lot of good Saints fans that have come over. I hope you continue to stick around.

I get that, I don't necessarily disagree with it either, what I disagree with is they're seemingly using it as an excuse to call the game rigged and now some are even questioning how we have such a good home record. I've been listening to butt hurt annoying fan bases talk about how we get "all the calls" since 2002 while ignoring the calls that went against us in pivotal games, 2 of which cost us championships.

Funny that you should say that, since it sure looks like that's exactly what you did. So this isn't you? Because if not, I find it a little weird that the content of that post is nearly identical to what you wrote in post #82:

Jack Vegas on Black and Gold said:
Was just on the Pats board. All they can do is whine about us discussing the officiating and talk about what low-class trash we are.

I respect the Patriots immensely as a team, but from what I've seen of their message board, I am starting to understand why the fans of all the other AFC teams hate them so much. Talk about a bunch of jerks.

Sucks, too, because I decided to check out B&G after being told that it's not a crapfest like SaintsReport. Instead, I found that the top thread is still just *****ing about the Sproles hit, and that a few posts down you're a full week (and 100+ posts deep) into a thread about how there was also a ref conspiracy against you in the game that you won against the Bears. I guess this is an every week thing, win or lose.

No, that is not me. Sorry. I do know who it is, and concede that his post probably influenced my own verbiage, but that's neither here nor there.

Your previous relay directed toward me told me just about all I need to know about what kind of poster and person you are. Sad.

Think it's about time I was done with this trainwreck. I'm sorry I ever ventured over here in the first place.

Good luck this season to the many decent Patriots fans on this board; I hope the others (you know who you are) all get awful cases of food poisoning or something.

I thought you were /out. What ever happened to being /out?

If you're going to be super dramatic about declaring that you're leaving forever to a bunch of people that don't really care for you anyway, the least you can do is stick to your guns. God knows we'll really miss contributions from "the guy who wishes a bunch of us would get food poisoning"

After looking at some of your past postings, I actually just feel sorry for you. It must be tough going through life being that miserable all the time. Damn, dude. Life it too short for this stuff. Just...damn.

Sadly SMH for you. Hopefully you find some peace in your life at some point. I've been there and changed for the better. My wish for you is that you can do the same.

Peace, bro.

My life's pretty awesome, but thanks for the concern I guess. On one hand I haven't found inner peace like you have, but on the other I'm a pretty agreeable guy who's never wished that a bunch of strangers on the internet would get food poisoning.

That said, I can't help but notice that you still are not /out.

It's the old "everyone from New England is miserable" cliché.

It didn't take you long to go full troll, I see.
