It's easy, and only takes a few moments.I understand what you are saying and I don't think Bob will do that.I was not trying to say Kraft would control Bill's departure, like I said he would trade Bill where he wants to go. What I mean to say there is that he would let Bill pick his destination and then Kraft would work out some kind of compensation with the acquiring team after the fact. This is typically how it's done for coach swaps anyway.
On one hand I don't think Kraft will try to demand a 1st from another team for Bill in order to make it easier, but on the other hand Bill may tell his new team to make sure to send a 1st because he won't want himself looking bad only costing a 3rd rounder or something when Sean Payton went for multiple 1sts to Denver just this season.
As a condition of the "extension", the NEP gave up the right to franchise tag Brady once his deal expired.I meant the relinquishing control of Tom thing.
If you end up picking in the top 10 but outside of the top 3, take a WR. Trade Bill for a top 64 pick and use it on a tackle. With your 2nd rounder, take Jayden Daniels or Quinn Ewers and let him ride the bench for a year behind a vet like Ryan Tannehill or Jacoby Brissett.Nix and McCarthy have been trending toward top 10 picks.
I guess I just don't understand why not? It's not like a player trade where it holds things up, it's more like paying someone back. Kraft wouldn't be keeping Bill from anything. And I don't think Kraft would ask for much.I understand what you are saying and I don't think Bob will do that.
Apples to apples, Bruce Arians can’t be mentioned in the same sentence as BB.I’d love to see the Pats get a first for BB in a trade but I don’t think that’s happening. Maybe a few years ago but not when he’s 71. Arians is the same age now and he came to the Bucs via a swap of 6th and 7th rounders.
And then we can root for Bill to get a SB ring with another team. Just like Brady.I see Kraft allowing BB to leave afterall all that he has accomplished. Just like Brady.
BB has worked tirelessly for Kraft and deserves to call his own shots.
Yeah, but Arians is not Bill Belichick. I can understand a 1st not happening due to age and limited time left coaching, but perhaps a 2nd.I’d love to see the Pats get a first for BB in a trade but I don’t think that’s happening. I really think age matters that’s why I’m not sure about a first. Payton is 59…Yeah, but Arians is not Bill Belichick. I can understand a 1st not happening due to age and limited time left coaching, but perhaps a 2nd.
You sound sure a team will give up high picks for Bill. I'm not.I guess I just don't understand why not? It's not like a player trade where it holds things up, it's more like paying someone back. Kraft wouldn't be keeping Bill from anything. And I don't think Kraft would ask for much.
Agreed.. I've noticed that as well.. at 71, his career spanning 5 decades. He has nothing left to prove. The organization needs to move into 2023 NFL, and do away with the business practices of old.Looking at how relaxed he is on this trip makes me think he knows this is his last rodeo before retirement and so does Kraft…
The thing about SB. Is as reported he's socially awkward.. he can't communicate like say mayo can or other more vocal coaches. I don't understand how you can be in a coaching role, and not be able to communicate. As Curran mentioned mayo runs the meetings, sets up the game plan, and SB calls the plays. It's going to be a very interesting Off season!Unless there's some owner out there who thinks Steve Belichick is the second coming then why would anyone give us much for Bill? I don't think there's much interest but I hope I'm wrong and there's some dipstick of an owner who wants Bill as much as I want him gone.
I can't wait to be entertained again.
Agree overall but I’d take Brock Bowers who I think is the biggest game changing weapon after Harrison. If you end up picking in the top 10 but outside of the top 3, take a WR. Trade Bill for a top 64 pick and use it on a tackle. With your 2nd rounder, take Jayden Daniels or Quinn Ewers and let him ride the bench for a year behind a vet like Ryan Tannehill or Jacoby Brissett.
AssclownWhy are you being all triggered and denying zappy smurf’s greatness? I thought you were a zappy fan. He really worked harder than Corky and it’s paying off now. Zappy boy is taking over Corky’s job for good by week 5. Just watch.
Jason La Canfora wrote in the Washington Post yesterday about the possibility of a Caserio and Vrable tandem. Personally, and given the team's dearth of talent, I can't see trading draft choices to get them.Did we sign our Next GM yet?? That's what I'm waiting for.
If BOB got a more lucrative contract and a better HC opportunity I think he'd view it as a benefit.. just my guess.I think we're moving on at the end of the season but why would someone leave millions on the table by walking away purely for optics, it benefits him to be fired and then he gets his money and can go wherever he wants if he plans to still coach.
I agree, he deserves to determine the nature of his departure, as long as he departs.I see Kraft allowing BB to leave afterall all that he has accomplished. Just like Brady.
BB has worked tirelessly for Kraft and deserves to call his own shots.
