Root for Chiefs or Chargers?

As I said, IF the chargers win out they have the tie breaker over NE. By definition of “winning out,” it means they don’t lose to KC or Baltimore.
And that was not the question in my original post. The question was explicitly what happens, if the chargers beat the chiefs and loose another game. But thanks for explaining, why the chiefs would win the division. Tie breaker rules are confusing.
So in this scenario the chargers would have the 5 seed, NE would be 1.
To make things more complicated: If the Texans win out, they are also 12-4 and loose the tie breaker against NE. If the Chiefs loose against chargers and seahawks, they will have only 2 Conference losses, compared to Houstons 3 conference losses - chiefs are 2, texans 3. If the chiefs loose against the chargers and raiders, they will also have 3 conference losses. Can they actually drop to 3? Do you have a link to the ESPN calculator for me?

There is one scenario where the Chargers and Pats are both tied at 12-4. LAC would still get the 1 seed. This would entail the LAC to beat KC but lose to Balt/Denver; KC loses to LAC, Seattle and Oakland; and NE wins out.

Well that's disturbing. According to the Playoff Machine if NE and MIA tie at 10-6, MIA takes the division crown. Now, NE should be able to get to at least 11-5, but who the hell knows this crazy year. Man, that stupid loss really hurt.

Pats win out
Texans win out
Chargers beat Chiefs, loose to Ravens, win against Broncos
Chiefs loose to Chargers, win against Seattle, loose to Raiders
-> all teams are 12-4
according to ESPN calculator:
1 Texans
2 Chargers
3 Patriots
5 Chiefs
stupid three-way-tie rule?

if Chiefs loose to seahawks and beat Raiders:
1 Patriots
2 Chiefs
3 Texans
5 Chargers

So it really depends on who wins the AFC West.

If NE, KC, HOU all tie NE gets #1 because it swept the other two.

Swap out LAC for KC and that tiebreaker does not apply and we go to conference record and then to record in common games if there’s a conference record tie.

Meanwhile...

loooooool. I love those bloopers man

If i was a producer, i'd fire him right now. Not even joking: How can you not know what one of NFL's Best teams have on their roster when he's about the face the freaking Chiefs of all team (particularly this season). And I mean, this info is from the freaking Training Camp dude (IIRC).

Also, i always remember all those poor fools who work and get no recognition. Do you even imagine how bad things get behind the scenes? How much they try to cover for those Hosts's... let's say... ignorance?

Because there is A BUNCH of assistants and auxiliary work behind each episode, right? Giving him info before about discussed topics, cue cards on air, sometimes even a Producer talking in his ear... Not to mention a good deal of decent journalists working for ESPN that get all the info beforehand

And yet, the whole thing can't be taken seriously because SAS is a ****ING IDIOT
