Lets all make a promise to buy the book and also at the same time help Randy's charity and read what appears to be a very interesting book about his life.

It should finally shed some light on fans that think he is nothing but a bad guy - Can't wait to read it in February.

I refuse to buy this book, on the name alone.

If the cover is a picture of a smiling Randy Moss holding a football, I may have to burn down a bookstore or two.

That's an intelligent reason.

I don't care what the name of the book is, I'll buy it to support Randy and his charities.

He's one of our guys and as such should be supported.

I look forward to your upcoming biography, Shooting the **** With Scottie: The True ScottieC Story. On the cover of which will be a picture of you resting your chin on your hands and gazing thoughtfully into the camera. Bonus points if you're wearing a sweater over a collared shirt.

I won't care if the book is obviously targeted at 12-year-olds and has been written for self-promotion (probably poorly), I'll buy it to support a fellow forum-goer and Pats fan! You're one of my guys ScottieC!

Im not sure whether this is surprising to me or just disappointing. Nothing against the man writing his memoirs and makin' some extra cash. But it seems with 'unfinished business' out there, now is not the time. Id like to see the guy earn a ring before he starts talking about writing books. And the last thing I want to hear about on the doorsteps of another Superbowl appearance would be a bunch of "Real Randy" talk. That's gonna piss a ton of people off it were to go down that way. jmho.

Im not suggesting the guy sit around in his Pats pajamas all offseason, study film, and drink vitamin shakes 24/7. He'll do whatever he does regardless. But spare me the 'life and times' of Randy distraction when its crunch time. If it comes out AFTER a potential SB, no problem. Any time before or during a title run, we'll all be lining up to toss eggs. That's a fairly easy one to predict.

Athletes write bad books all the time, what's the big deal?

The target release date for the book is Spring 2009.

Hmmm... Seems to be after our 4th super Bowl, nothing wrong with that.

As long as they got rid of the subtitle "Gimme the damn ball" I'm cool with it.

I'd rather read "In and Out: The Tom and Gisele Story"....yeah...that seems to be more interesting.

I don't know what the big deal is. Everyone writes books about their lifes now a days. I dont see anything wrong with randy doing the same to help out his charities. The book will be out spring 2009. If you want the book then you buy it. If you don't want the book then don't buy it. Its pretty simple.
