Rodgers already knocked out of the game against the Bills

Not a question of cost. They have an X ray machine at the stadium so its an available quick first screening imaging study
The person I was responding to said it was the cheapest option. Money shouldn't be a factor when your talking about a team worth hundreds of millions of dollars.

If money wasn’t a factor for a team worth hundreds of millions of dollars, every stadium would have grass fields. Billionaires don’t become billionaires by spending money when they don’t have to. NFL is willing to do it for FIFA money though.

The soccer players play on Saturday and tear up the field for the football team on Sunday. Do we really want to go back to the days of dirt painted green?

All the Rogers hype is going to immediately turn to speculation of retirement. I don't know if I can see him returning next year at this moment.
Especially the way he seems to see the world - it would definitely feel like it's not meant to be. He was 50/50 on retirement before this move.
Either way, the Jets have to decide what to do. I don't think they have a choice but to roll with Wilson. Maybe they bring in another vet, get creative and coax someone out of retirement (like a Matt Ryan - who may not appreciate the booth after that 28-3 comment).
But, if they move on from Wilson this year, they're looking for another future QB this offseason. Which might alter Roger's decision anyway.

I never thought it was a money thing. I thought they started going to turf more after the Pats' field got ruined all the time and wouldn't grown in the winter.

I'm sure he can find a dark hole to climb in for a while to make that decision.

I have to think this is the end of the line for Rodgers. He already had one foot out the door before this. It will be tough to come back from an injury like this at his age. I am not sure he would want to come back at 40 going into 41 with the effort it will take to get in NFL shape after this injury. I don't see Rodgers as that type of guy who will put in the work like a Brady would.

I would despise him for life if he did that. I can't imagine he would. But he would be absolutely ****ing dead to me.

My wife was watching a show the other day, Boston Legal I think, and a character was like I strayed from my wife...with a cow. The delivery was funny. Well he goes on about all the good things he's done in life and his marriage etc...I blurted out loud, well you sleep with a cow and all that **** is out the window. The lawyer on the show a minute later, was like well you sleep with just one cow and pfft it's all gone.

No way Tommy ****s the cow!

Meh. It wasn't a bad hit that caused the injury. The recipe for disaster for the Jets was giving up what they did to acquire Rodgers just a few months shy of age 40. This is the Brady effect IMO. GMs think these great Qbs can do what Brady did because Brady made it look so seamless and actually played some of the best football of his career in his 40s. Brady was a unicorn and it is rather ironic that the team who launched Brady's career (thank you Mo Lewis) is the one betting on an aging great QB to do what Brady did and their season effectively ended on its 4th offensive play.

Reports are he’s had a lingering left calf injury. We really don’t know the inside info but seems plausible his lower leg has been a mess for quite some time. Makes sense that it blew up upon first major impact in nine months.

Is he willing to give up that $35M guaranteed next year to step away? He just has to show up and do the bare minimum to not get suspended (like Jack Jones last season) and that $35M is his.

For some reason I pictured Norm MacDonald's frog joke and his line "he ****ed a frog!"

Anyway no chance Brady does that but the Jets 100% would be interested. They're all about getting headlines over the Giants Mets and Yankees and this would do it.

If it's a season ender for Rodgers.. NY would probably call him. Doubt he does it, although they'd be legitimate contenders.
No way he would ever go to the Jets
He would totally alienate himself in Boston
Like Damon did when he went to the Yanks
And Yes that does matter to Brady

Agreed.. new MRI machines go for between just $`1-3 million. A drop in the bucket for an NFL franchise.
But why bother having one at the stadium, if the guy is that hurt, he's not coming back into the game so might as well wait until he gets to a hospital for the diagnosis.

He also just saw what that OL looked like, and he'd be coming in COLD to start the season at 46 years old. That's a formula for a blown out knee.
