Robert Kraft's Press Conference

He wasn't hired until July my friend.
He had nothing to do with the draft or the coaching transition.
Yeah I know but I have fun lumping them all together because it's just easier. Unfair or not, this **** show with Mayo was occurring while he was there. It's probably not fair but it is what it is.

When you get to 82, you won't look as good.

Alonzo Highsmith is 'new blood' for the coaching search. He was hired right before training camp. This was after the draft, after the extensions, after free agency.
Yeah but does he have any time working with Ben Johnson or Mike Vrabel? Or anyone for instance. If not, then they need to be gone unless the coach wants them. This is the big issue.

Based on RKs comments do you anticipate wolfy kind of facing a job reassignment?
Unfortunately, no. Robert offered excuses for his failures and indicated he would hire a coach who couo\would work with Wolf. Completely stupid, and I expect that if he sticks to that, the range of candidates who would in the end actually take the job will shrink markedly. I would expect (and support) Vrabel's saying he will not take the job unless he has a veto on who in the end will be the GM. I wouldn;t either. Wolfe has record of failure working with TWO HC's - Bill and Jerrod. I wouldn't want him anywhere near my team, putting my tenure as HC at risk,.

Robert will go on some show or tv appearance and spill a lot more in a few months than today as usual

Oh and Wolf has a new grading scale apparently and Krafty is excited about it. Nice, where was this system last year?

Something about wolfie seems sneaky, sly and, not trust worthy.. wouldn't surprise at all to see him gone once Vrabel get here with his people in place.

The Packer way. No hard ass vibe . I guess wolf meant just the "hard" part will go away and the rest remains.

I want everyone gone, as should Kraft if he were really serious about changing everything. Bring in all new blood for the new coach. This smells like trying to match make again and we saw how bad that worked last time.
They aren't going to launch everyone until they hire the head guy. The HC of the NEPs is going to be in charge. That seems clear to me.

Yeah this is the issue. Wolf has no business being in any coach meetings. Nobody from that front office does. The entire font office, scouts etc needs to be cleaned out.

If Ben Johnson/Vrabel comes to Gillette for an interview these people have zero business being there. Wolf, Highsmith, Glazer to start.

What's supposed to happen?

The two Krafts interviewing alone?

What would they ask?

How was the flight (assuming it's not zoom)?

Well...he is.
80-year olds fall across a wide span of cognitive acuity and energy. My mother died at 102, still sharp as ever, running all her own quite complex financial and other affairs. But all old people do sort of decline with some degree of suddenness, and that is what I think I see in Robert.

He does know Ben Johnson a little bit, yes, and not Vrabel directly, but Ryan Crowden, yes.

They aren't launching anyone and thats the problem. Definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result.

Anyone think this time around they are going to hit the draft out of the park? All previous results would point to the negative. And that is scary as all hell.
