It's probably not getting the same headlines, because who the hell is JJ Jones??

Family and friends identify the man as J.J. Jones, also known as John Jones. He played for the New York Jets in the 1970's. His best friend, Leonard Elion, tells Q13 FOX News that Jones was one of the first three African-American quarterbacks in the NFL. He says Jones was third string when Joe Namath was the quarterback.

Tragic, yes; but I have to admit I have no recollection of this guy at all.

I don't want this to turn into a political thread, but God almighty I can't believe the stupidity and arrogance of some people. I know, I know, it was a different time then, doesn't make it any easier to understand.

Not that Holtz had much of a clue about anything anyway, he tried to get the Jets players to memorize a team fight song during his brief tenure there.

First, its a thread containing condolences to a fallen qb.
Nothing to do with McNair or Taylor.
Lastly, Taylor does not play for the Redskins, thus, they do not root for him.
But, I'm sure your thoughts are in prayer for JJ Jones.
