Riddick predicting Hunter to Patriots

This is the best case. Give me Carter and trade up for Simmons.
Between Carter and Hunter, I'd definitely take Carter. As far as LT's are concerned, IF Simmons knee is 100% (or will be by Week 1 and that he can get in enough of Training Camp/Practice in the meantime), I'd trade back into the 1st Round for him. But, if Conerly Jr. is viewed as being better, then I'm fine with him too, just so long as we get a minimum 5 year solid as can be LT (10 years + if he turns out to be a stud). Or a 5 year solid stop-gap LT until we do find a stud at LT (and find the same regarding RT in the next 2 years to replace Moses). We also need to solve the LG situation (I think Wallace can be solid at RG if they cut Onwenu after this season as he was projected prior to the draft to be a better RG than RT). Also, we need to get a Day 1 starting caliber RB and hit on a WR who could be one of those Day 2 guys that we've failed to hit on.

Not really. I would trade down to 10-15 for a 1 a 2 and next years 2.
Well I have been exploring the idea of trading back to 32 with Philly who has a crazy amount of picks. They obviously don't need them. So here's my proposal:

Then we trade back up with the team with the least amount of draft picks. That should be an ideal spot to land Josh Simmons.

I'm trying to figure out what is going on with the final eight minutes of the video.

Was that little kid going to predict the the first round of the draft, and then we can compare her mock draft to the rest of the ESPN talking head's predictions?

And yet it was still one of the better links that member has posted.
Just sayin'...

We are in the silly season for sure. And we are NOT getting Hunter or Carter. The won't be there. EVERY QB in this year's draft come with flaws and question marks. I'm sure Ward and Sanders could very well become capable starters in the NFL, even all stars. But in comparison, but NONE of them are nearly as good a prospect as was Willians, Daniels, Maye, Nix, and Pennix. Both would have been drafted well behind those 5.

Again we are talking about PROSPECTS. God knows that no one has a clue about how they will end up in the end. Given the choice of Sanders vs, Carter/Hunter, I can't see any scenario where Sanders is a top 3 pick. The thing is that IF the Giants truly like Sanders they can just as easily trade down with someone willing to trade up to get Hunter and STILL get their QB, (assuming they'd rather the pick and the QB like we are talking about passing on Campbell and taking a second level OT and a top 40 pick and perhaps more next year.

I think we need to all take closer look at Membou, Conerley, Banks and Simmons and see how you'd feel about any of them being our starting LT next season.

10-15 is right about where I’m at for Josh Simmons. Its probably still a little high for him but so is 4 for Campbell.

I think 12-15 is the sweet spot for a tackle.
Can’t risk dropping too far and losing him.

I also want to trade back up into the first with what I get, assuming it include a 2, ironically, the further you drop the less value you get from the 2.

Then trade up from 2 to draft Egbuka

24 may be too late for Simmons

True but that's about where he should be. If he's gone than you trade up for Ersery/Conerly. But it shouldn't be nearly as far to move up for them.

Amazing to me that anyone on this board thinks Hunter will be available at 4. Giants are taking him. Time to move on

I know there is an injury risk. I'm not as worried about when he's ready as much as will he fully recover.

Maybe I'm being greedy but I want to hear pundits saying the Patriots have had the best draft as they've come away with the best Pass Rusher and the Best LT in the draft.

And, have the statement be proven to be true in every respect.

Disagree on Sanders Ken. All it takes is for one team that needs a quarterback to like him and one of Carter or Hunter will be there. I’m not saying it will happen, but I think dismissing it out of hand is a mistake.

I think your screen might have cut off the rest of what PHI is sending us. One future first to move up from #32 to #4 and just throwing some day 3 picks on top of it is an absolutely abomination of a trade offer.

So you’re expectations in that after pick #4, we need to come away with at minimum:

A 5+ year starter at LT
A starting RT
A starting LG
A day 1 starter at RB
A WR “hit”

Again, all that AFTER Hunter or Carter at #4. So in other words, your minimum requirement for this draft is that we have one of the greatest drafts in the history of the sport? That seems like an unrealistic expectation or standard, but I hope they do it.

I meant a Day 1 starter at LT. A RT that can end up being the replacement for Moses (when he's done). I said we need to address the LG situation (didn't say we had to draft one). And yes, a RB like Braelon Allen who can come in and start if Stevenson can't get his crap together (although I don't expect he'll have to start, a solid RB). WR speaks for itself. Even a WR that becomes a top end #2 (Jayden Higgins, Elic Ayomanor, etc.) would be nice. In fact, I would have been all for coming out of last year's draft if all we got was Maye, Leggette, and Allen. We could have traded the what became useless late round picks to move into the 1st to get Leggette.

I'm not buying that they tried. They tried only in that they wanted to throw enough crap against the wall and see what would stick. At least besides Maye, we'd have had a legit high end #2, if not potential #1 WR in Leggette and a young workhorse back in Allen. Coming out of that draft with our Franchise QB and 2 truly solid players would have been better than what we got after Maye.

Trading out of 4 to get 2nd of 3rd round talent would be criminal

So, this is a weak draft with only two blue-chippers. Only 2 teams will get a blue-chipper. And, yes, Ward with also be drafted in the top 3.
===============
How much is getting one of these players worth to those who are scheduled to get the next 12 available players?

How much should a team be willing to offer the NYG or NE to get one of these picks.

Some posters have said that the answer is zero, that getting a blue chipper isn't worth much more than simply taking the #15 pick. What say you?

I'll be in the Med on a cruise God willing but I gotter amit my fav thing about the draft is reading the insane meltdowns here by draftniks when their Binky is passed over. EPIC entertainment!!!
