It's easy, and only takes a few moments. Now that's a tough call, the second round pick is cheap for four years, while Marshall gets to negotiate a contract and Carolina has right of first refusal...If we intend on Drafting a CB in the second round, I'd much rather us snap Marshall up instead.

This is sarcasm right?

It would cost some money but Marshall for a #2, re-sign Bodden and have Butler as the #3 and that should be a solid group. Wilhite and Wheatley could compete with whoever else is brought in for #4, #5.
You can't put a price on good corners in this day and age.
I'd at least talk numbers with his agent. Marshall is very good.
I know but with the rest of the secondary young and fairly cheap (Butler, Wilhite, Meriweather, Chung, Sanders), even adding Marshall and keeping Bodden I bet our secondary would only be about league average in annual salary. And that there is the rub. The $$$. To get Marshall, you need to give a valuable 2nd round pick PLUS $$$ on top of that. It would probably make more sense to just give cash to Bodden. He knows the system already and he has performed well in it.
last i checked, there is no positional salary cap, so this is irrelevant.I know but with the rest of the secondary young and fairly cheap (Butler, Wilhite, Meriweather, Chung, Sanders), even adding Marshall and keeping Bodden I bet our secondary would only be about league average in annual salary.
Thanks for that info :bricks:last i checked, there is no positional salary cap, so this is irrelevant.
Hearing mixed reviews about Marshall, some Panther fans talk about how him like he's Ellis Hobbs
