Rob Ryan was trully living off his family's name. He was god awful in New Orleans. He was an abomination with the Cowboys. Both team IMMEDIATELY got better after he left.

Rex, on the other hand, could still be a good DC. But he needs to tone down the antics. No respectable coach will hire him if he continues to be a loud-mouth baffoon. Personally, i think he would do well in TV. He has charisma and he is not as dumb as he people may think.

That's why Josh McDonald is right to wait and make the best decision when he decides to go for a 2nd HC gig because it's all about long term stability, no one will turn a franchise around in 2 years.

I actually think he'd be a great commentator/analyst for BSPN or CBS or one of those. Go the route of Gruden and be wacky and crazy.
