That’s nasty. Harrison is a freakin’ man among men out there.
Harrison is our modern day Junior Seau - sets the tempo for all the young players and they respect him..and probably fear him a little as well if they mess up lolI like Harrison a lot. Gives the Youngish front 7 a lot of experience and an old head to help them along. Which since he’s been here he has seemed to help them all. I’d like to see him here again next year for the experience if he still wants to play. The other thing is he is stupidly powerful, really like him.
so he’s watching the steelers staff
i think he forced a holding call tooWe fall into the trap of looking for gaudy stats for pass rushers, while in reality it seems that there is a greater emphasis on keeping the edge.. and Derrick Henry's 12 carries for 28 yards may be where the impact was made, the Titans vaunted run offense was held in check..
They were keeping track of Harrisons snaps on twitter last night, and I think he was at about 50%... Harrison had 3 solo tackles.
This is one of the things I'm trying to pin down in this thread. So just by being on the edge he helps the pass rush even if he doesn't rush himself?I think he played well...is clearly motivated. But more than anything his ability to set that edge allows the younger guys to get after the QB. He is definitely having an effect, I dont think I saw such an aggressive defense from the Pats all year.
That's correct. NE has the oldest offensive player and the oldest defensive player. And by the way, when you say "younger guys"...I think every other defensive player in the NFL is "younger" than Harrison
Well, the Tits ran 53 offensive plays...I bet he was out there for around 1/2 or a little more.James Harrison stats for game:
3 solo tackles
38 snaps*
1.3 million Steelers fans driven berserker
* made that up, I can't find his snap count
I hope, if he still has the fire in his belly and has something left in the tank, that Harrison comes back next season. He could teach some of the young DE's how to set the edge and disrupt the QB.

Harrison has supplanted Chuck Norris. After the game last night he singlehandedly rescued five people from burning wreckage on Route 1 then returned to cater his teammates' after-party, mindful to include vegan selections for Tom Brady.
