Reports: Brady wants entire suspension removed, and is seeking to be fully exonerated

I've felt that TB's phone may have some financial info on it that should not be made public for any reason and he will remain steadfast on his refusal to turn it over to the NFL that can't keep a secret.
Courts deal with this all the time. If this gets to court and there is Discovery that requires him to hand his phone or text or any records over, the court can review the surrendered documents and exclude anything of a personal nature that is not relevant to the case.

Exactly!

Goodell is in a completely untenable position...of his own making.

He can't open the floodgates by exonerating Brady and trying to get away with admitting that the Wells report was "a little bit wrong" and a "a little bit right."

He can't let the whole mess go to open court for the obvious reasons.

If he exonerates Brady, he can't set a precedent of using the alleged "misbehavior" of two low level employees as an excuse to levy draconian punishments against an owner.

He be ****ed. I'm not writing those draft picks off just yet.

Of course he can. He does many things that defy logic and common sense.

I would like the appeal hearing to consist of Kessler reading the entire AEI study aloud to Goodell, then saying "the end. Exoneration please."

You're more optimistic than I. This is the reason why Goodell isn't going to back down any further than dropping 2 games off the suspension. When he loses in court, he'll just say that he disagrees with the court's conclusion but can't do anything about it with Brady, but since they have no say on the Pats their punishment stands. Because he really is that stupid and arrogant, and believes he has the public on his side.

All I can say is that whatever miniscule support Kraft is giving Brady ceases at the end of the hearing. At that point it's the POS and the gang of 32 versus Brady.

Palm Beach : the Wells Report DOES have "scientific experts". I know and YOU know how to use those numbers. Besides, you guys even use the old empirical system. Kelvin are so much easier to get to from Celcius...

I get what you are saying - but you live in the Country that had a court state that Orenthal J Simpson was found not guilty. Hardly the scientific-based result.

Goodell wont do anything in the appeal. He has no way of justifying to the public that he made a mess with a 5 mill $ investigation. If they wanted to do the right thing even after the report, he shouldve called and talked to brady before the report was released to see if he had anything to say. Now in the eyes of the media and public appeal he cant show himself weak to reject well's report as incorrect. At best he reduced brady by 1 game even though he knows it will go to court. Otherwise he wouldve appointed an independent arbitrator. The NFL and goodell want to delay this as much as possible so that it goes deep in the season, keeps the nfl in the news cycle and puts brady in a corner if he wants to keep waiting. I wont be surprised if they dont announce the appeal result many days after of next week.

I'm thinking that about 2 minutes into that first hearing, Goodell's reaction will be something like this:

There's a difference between handing your phone over to a biased investigation whose mandate from the league is to bring you down by any means necessary and handing your phone over to an accountable court of law. Brady didn't do the former because he's not a moron, he knew all the leaks coming out of the league office and knew that his personal and financial information would be at risk if the league had full impunity to just tear into his phone looking for anything. If this goes to a real court of law with real accountability I bet Brady will respect the process and allow his phone to be examined by qualified and fair individuals who do this kind of thing regularly.

Come on, now. Let's stay reasonable.

I think it this goes to court the only issue at hand will be is the penalty fair, I don't think it would come to phones and the NFL front office shenanigans. A lawyer could expound on this but I'm just basing this off the AP case.

I just can't even predict if Brady will follow through... We all were lead to believe Kraft was gearing up for some fun times after then website went up. Then BAM ! Nothing but hugs. I know Brady is far far different, but until I see it happen, I remain skeptical.

DNA evidence wasn't enough science for you, Deus ?

The prosecution did a ****ty job. One of the 'star' witnesses was painted as a racist cop. The implication of planted evidence was able to be made, undercutting the DNA evidence.

Plus, that was a jury trial with a jury looking to get a 'win' for the black man.

Basically, it's completely inapplicable to a Brady appeal.

Not sure if Brady is spending all that much on legal fees. Wasn't Kessler hired by the NFLPA? Isn't it the union's job to represent its members in court?
Also, don't discount the fact that many lawyers view Brady's case as an easy win... and would probably be willing to charge Brady $0 in order to have beating the NFL on their resume.

If it doesn't fit, you MUST acquit!

FREE ORENTHAL NOW!!!

Having him try on the glove was the height of stupidity. Anyone can make a glove their size not seem to fit them. It's as easy as (no bake) pie.

To heck with the draft picks. Kraft lost the chance to prove his team was innocent of all charges
by evidence that was obviously tainted.

How, exactly, would he have done that?
