Now repeat ... The running game matters, RB's don't.

RBs rarely do, and I’ve yet to see an expensive long-term RB extension that the team didn’t regret. My objection is, again, about putting universal dos and don’ts on the draft.

This will change their culture for the next 5 seasons. Brady will rub off on his teammates. Im not expecting championships, but I expect a tone change in Tampa Bay for 4-5 seasons. A couple even after Brady leaves.

Tom gets weapons on offense, respect, warm weather, oh and a team that actually wanted him to come.

Brady will compete head to head with Drew Brees twice a season as well so that's gonna be a treat to watch.

I will enjoy watching Brady in Tampa, he's more likely to get to the Superbowl there than with a lesser AFC team.

At least he didn't go to the Dolphins to haunt us twice a season in the same division so you can be thankful for that.

The NFC is no longer stacked at QB compared to the AFC. In the last couple of years:

-Mahomes has emerged
-L. Jackson has emerged
-Watson has emerged
-A middle class of QB has emerged...these guys aren’t great but are a lot better than what these teams had before (Carr, Darnold, Mayfield, Tannehill)

-Goff has regressed/just isn’t that good
-Wentz has regressed/just isn’t that good
-Cousins is mediocre, as expected
-Newton is basically done
-Rodgers has regressed a lot

The poster is criticizing Sanu's overall talent to make the argument that Brady had an easy decision to go to Tampa Bay, because of their far superior receiving talent.

His shot at Sanu has nothing to do with his injury. He is arguing that the sh*t-tier receiving talent Belichick brought in made Brady's decision to leave easy.

I'm pointing out that the WR he's sh*tting on is a player that Brady was advocating for the team to acquire.

That's a fair point. I guess my general approach here is that Tom probably doesn't always know what's best for him from a personnel standpoint, either.

Talent evaluation is a tricky thing, and he's excelled with under-talented receivers and struggled with hyper-talented receivers. Chemistry, understanding, and players that can adapt to his style/quirks are seemingly hard to find.

Unless the argument is that his issue wasn't with personnel, but rather with the system, which I find hard to believe. Surely EHP could have been adapted to accommodate simpler routes/concepts at any point during his 20 years here. I don't think Tom was upset with the system he was playing in, but rather the players he was playing with.

I wanted Sanders but he was the one that had injury issues all season up to that point. Somehow he played out the season. Funny how things work sometimes.

I never said he preferred Sanu over Sanders. I simply said that he is on record as essentially saying that he internally advocated for them to acquire Sanu.

Report: Brady 'really pushed for' Sanu trade

Is that a full-throated, "I told Bill to get Sanu"? No, but it's everything short of that. I think there's ample evidence to conclude that Brady was internally pushing Belichick to acquire Sanu.
