Report: Kraft has had discussions about potentially moving on from Belichick

It’s only hilarious that the third guy of the supposed “trio” of the Patriots dynasty (who was attributed roughly 33% of the success for years) is also outing himself a goddamn idiot.

Belichick is 71 and also Kraft has been publicly *****ing about the team and making little veiled threats while as usual acting cowardly and desperate behind closed doors.
If they draft a stud QB in the first round next offseason Kraft will be laughing last and this team with be an automatic contender.

Making emotional knee jerk decisions is not how Kraft became a billionaire… that’s what fans do.

If you listen to Breer, you end up disappointed. But he gets his clicks.

Bill signing an extension in the midst of you guys discussing his demise is hilarious.
You’re a classless idiot and represent what’s wrong with this forum. I’m a Pats fan for life. Just want the team to be competitive. But, yes, I don’t think more Bill makes that likely in the near future as I fear we’ll all find out.

This team is nowhere near a contender with just a QB change.

Kraft might take a big picture view. They knew this was a make or break season for Mac, he was either the answer or he wasn’t.

The big problem with this team is the QB position. It’s a player’s league, we’ve heard BB and other coaches say this a thousand times. You need to players, whether your name is Belichick. Lombardi or Chuck Noll…. you need the horses.
Absolutely agree! Aside from the Xs and Os need the Jimmy's and joes.. the damage was done last season. We were supposed to see according build off his rookie season he did have some success. I think he's better off being traded to Josh to salvage his career. BB inherited Alphas in 2000 Ted Johnson, Bruschi, willie, lawyer, ty, brown, faulk. Of course #12.

A lot easier to build a winning culture with players like them..

Haha!

As if we needed more gasoline to this fire.

This offseason is incredible in all the wrong ways, I love it.

LFG Pats..get the W.

Contract was done in the offseason.. I doubt if RK had hindsight into the BS we see now any talk of an extension wouldn't have happened IMO..
Foresight

Name calling… classy.

Sorry I touched a nerve, you’re obviously very sensitive.

If somehow, someway... a trade would happen for Justin Herbert, some weapons in the off season.. we'd be a contender. Herbert is a talented QB being wasted in LA.

Sure… let’s use another team so we remove personal bias.

The 2017 49ers were 1-10 on the season with CJ Beathard and Brian Hoyer splitting starts at QB... they had one victory on the entire season.

JimmyG joined the team and started the last five games of the year, he went 5-0 as a starter.

Beathard and Hoyer combined had a 7.5 sack percentage, Jimmy in his five starts had a 4.3 sack percentage. That would have place Jimmy 5th best in the NFL that season in fewest sacks per pass... Beathard/Hoyer were bottom of the league.

Those five starts by Jimmy represented 4 of the 6th highest scoring totals by their offense that year. They also put up the highest rushing and passing totals on the season... so please don't tell me a better QB can't improve the offensive line, the rushing attack and overall offense... because it's statistically false.

We watched Tom Brady for two decades play like a QB robot, regardless of who he was throwing too, who was blocking for him and still post a top ten offense on the season.

No team can win with “bad” QB play… Mac is bad.

We’d still have no OL, a bunch of question marks at best at receiver and underperforming TE’s. Also Stevenson has regressed and it seems our best RB is Zeke Elliott and that’s also a problem. Would Herbert look that much better? I’m not sure.

QB change isn’t a quick fix for this team. Probably would have happened already if it was imo

That’s a team that was a QB away. We’re not. Not even close. For one thing I don’t think many QBs would do a lot when 3/5th of his OL don’t belong in the league.

BB drafted #12, he also drafted HOF’er Richard Seymour.

The draft is a crapshoot, they’re not better off taking Zach Wilson or Trey Lance.

They screwed up with Mac, try again.

They were more than a QB away, but a QB turned that offense completely around.

This 2023 Patriots team with Mahomes, Burrow or Herbert is a top ten offense.

Mac just sucks.

I don’t see how we would be at all. Agree to disagree then.

Except for that last part yes Mac is terrible I wish we had someone better around but we won’t until next season or a surprise trade in a couple of weeks.

Joe Burrows offense is currently 32nd in total offense and 27th in scoring. Mahomes is #10, Herbert #7

So your statement is, Qb aside the patriots offensive talent and ol is at least equal to KC, on par with LA and far, far better than Cincy. Care to reconsider?

I understand. I'm saying if we can solidify the Offensive line. Get some playmakers in here FA or dare I say it.. the draft. Rham is Cleary been affected by the O line.. he's too talented a back to play the way he's been. For the rest of the season put Connor McDermott at RT and that should help the running game. We need a stout O line like we've had in the past, some weapons outside. Give me KB and some viable options outside Mac would excel.
