"Our pitcher seemed like needed Tommy John surgery, but a couple days later he was able to hold a baseball in his hand, so we decided to let him go out and pitch for us. Except this is football where the other guys are trying to smash you while you pitch."I agree. Seems NUTS!!!

Or maybe that was just overblown clickbait"Our pitcher seemed like needed Tommy John surgery, but a couple days later he was able to hold a baseball in his hand, so we decided to let him go out and pitch for us. Except this is football where the other guys are trying to smash you while you pitch."
I used to have fun with my dad making up crazy rules like that to make sports more entertainingDamn, I like baseball but that's the kind of rule change that could save it's popularity! They've already discussed adding a pitch clock, why not just make it, "A linebacker is going to charge in from centerfield and BLOW YOU UP if you don't pitch before he gets there."
Jake Delhomme and Rob JohnsonAnd the ball is heavier. Lots of guys do continue to play if the ligament is not fully torn, but after some rest, see Sale and Ohtani who both eventually did Tommy John. I do not remember a QB with Tommy John surgery.
Me neither. As I understand it, throwing mechanics and arm action are different. Way less stress on the UCL.And the ball is heavier. Really?I have literally zero doubt that today’s Vikings/Bills game with Allen out is EXACTLY the kind of game Kirk Cousins chokes away.
I’m not your dad, but I’m A dad. I introduced defense when my boys got better than me at bowling.I used to have fun with my dad making up crazy rules like that to make sports more entertaining
Didn't he get hurt on the second to last play last game?In the first 6 games of the season, Allen had 17 TD's against 4 INT's.
In the last 3 games of the season, Allen had 3 TD's against 6 INT's.
I am wondering if there is some cause and effect there with the injury.....
He hurt his elbow at the towards the end of the game before the last one, that doesn't really make any sense...?In the first 6 games of the season, Allen had 17 TD's against 4 INT's.

Or he could just suck sometimes. I mean TB12 has had 6 4INT games in his career. In the first 6 games of the season, Allen had 17 TD's against 4 INT's.
