2 WR
2 QB
1 OT
1 CB
Those were our needs and they added a guard.
A CB that can't change direction isn't a Need. Sorry.
2 QBs were not a NEED.
Neither were 2 WR.

Where did you see this analysis? Do you have a link?
Curious to know which of those things aren’t true, other than the “you suck” and the “etc.”lol there’s Noway you from around here
It’s a New England thing.. weather sucks, the Pike sucks, traffic sucks, Sox suck, tourists suck, Bourne bridge sucks, Lynn sucks, north shore sucks can’t get to it, New Yorkers suck, Yankees suck , you suck…
Right, so that was 18-19 years he was in control and as we've heard, didn't always listen to the other guys. That is not completely true. Kraft has said that BB did not have complete control until about 2005/2006, and there was a big shift, "different approach", starting in 2021 as well.
Robert Kraft says New England Patriots changing approach to NFL draft after recent misses contributed to free-agent spending spree
Patriots owner Robert Kraft, who spent an NFL-record $165 million in guaranteed money in free agency, said the team's recent drafts have fallen short and that he's seen a "different approach" this year that he hopes will lead to sustained success.www.espn.com
Yes but 2021 and 2022 were supposed to be better after the change and I am not sure there was any improvement. I think 2023 might have been a great draft.Right, so that was 18-19 years he was in control and as we've heard, didn't always listen to the other guys.
Time will tell.Yes but 2021 and 2022 were supposed to be better after the change and I am not sure there was any improvement. I think 2023 might have been a great draft.
Honestly? New England is the best part of the country. Bar none. Traffic in California sucks waaaayyyy worse. Weather in Texas is unbelievable!! Tornadoes with hail the size of softballs. Love New York City in the summer, winter time they are ruder than us. Florida prices have tripled in three years, plus no one speaks English there. Unbelievable how ice affects the Carolinas in the spring, and the gun violence is insane. Got caught up in the middle of gun fire at a red light in Durham once. Midwest big city crime is a war zone. Colorado has us by a mile scenery wise, but they all loaded up with illegals and crime. Arizona and Nevada heat is legit. 110 is hot on any thermometer!! Plus the people out here are great. Say what you mean and mean what you say. Out west they love ya till you leave the room. In the south they love ya till they “Bless your little heart “ ya to death … and don’t get me started on other parts of the world ..Curious to know which of those things aren’t true, other than the “you suck” and the “etc.”
Because if you always go BPA, you might not ever get to the point that your draft position matches with BPA at a position you need. I feel like Dejean was BPA at 34 but will argue that Polk brings more to the team because WR was significantly weaker than CB/S.Why shouldn't we draft BPA if we are in a long term rebuild?

Yes, exactly this.
This is a draft and FA that appears more like a team that thinks they're a couple players away, rather than a team that needs to desperately add sheer talent.
Thats true but if you are always going BPA you won't win either. Maye was not BPA at 3 because he is a more of a project than MHJ or Odunze. The draft needs to be BPA at a needed position/that brings the most value to the team. You will never win anything by downgrading the talent to fill holes.
Remember way back when after BB left we were wondering who BK would bring as the next general manager? Instead of bringing in an experienced GM to make key decisions he decided to do it by committee. Wolf is and has been a talent scout, he has no experience being a GM someone that not only chooses the players in the draft but free agency, and swinging trades, especially on draft day. What is going on with the FO is an experiment. I think he may a little gun shy when it comes to moving around the board.
Ahh, all i was pointing out was hes never been in this position before and it comes with a lot of pressure to make the correct pick or trade so he maybe a little cautious. I started it because of all the posters pizzing and moaning about the picks and lack of trades. I gave him a B+.His father is in Canton in honor of his contributions as an . . . NFL General Manager. Wolf has been an assistant GM and every employer who he’s ever worked for has spoken highly of him. The guy’s been around the game for decades. You might turn out to be right but I think we should give him a chance before condemning him.

Maye definitely could be considered BPA. Huge ceiling means he could be better than MHJ or Odunze. Not sure you could say the same thing about McCarthy or Penix, hence they were chosen later. The Vikings and Giants tried to trade up to get Maye because they thought Maye was BPA and worth the trade.
I think you are trying to force the narrative because you are on the wrong side.
Not trying to force a narrative because I don't care if anyone agrees with me. The Vikings and Giant also needed a QB, so BPA at position of need. We will agree to disagree on team building. BPA is also subjective so we don't actually know how they graded prospects.Maye definitely could be considered BPA. Huge ceiling means he could be better than MHJ or Odunze. I didn’t love some of these picks, but I could say that with every team and every draft. BPA is the way to go, but maybe not when they literally cannot put an NFL player on the field at certain positions. Lots of holes to fill. Plus, maybe Cooper’s a dope and Polk isn’t. Idk.We are giving Wolf a chance. Wolf also had multiple chances to interview for GM positions with other teams and was not successful. You are being sensitive. Wolf will be judged on his FA signings, which were underwhelming, and his draft picks. Some of us prefer BPA and think forcing all offensive picks after the run on offensive position players in R1 was not wise. Believing in BPA is not being critical of Wolf, it is believing in an approach Wolf disagrees with. I am not going to start thinking that Polk has more potential than Cooper because I should believe in Wolf's approach.
