Ras-I Dowling placed on Injured Reserve

At least in the case of this particular pick, we were better than Bill.

Oh please. Dowling played in 40 out of 48 games as a 4-year starter at UVA. He had injury problems in ONE of those four years, and they were of the nagging variety. Most players would dream to be that healthy in college.

Come on Pats Brothers 25 pages for IR-Dowling isn't that like.:deadhorse: Ras-I i is dead to me.

Dowling was considered by many to have first round skills who could be a solid NFL defensive back with the following listed on many scouting profiles:

- Has the Elite height and body frame for a corner
- Can run stride for stride with receivers down field
- Physical on line of scrimmage; nice hands
- Very athletic
- Highly competitive
- Will take on a block
- very coachable

If he is injured then sit him him out and decide whether or not he is a good fit. I like the Talib as a replacement because he could start immediately, still young at 26 and without question has the ability to be a standout cb. If he doesn't work out, the Pats owe him nothing and all they lost dropping 3rounds from 4th to 7th. The play of Talib can make the Pats decision for the future need for Dowling very easy.
