Meh. I'm not opposed to his return but the guy just has a tendency to fade in big games, aside from Indianapolis. Pretty indifferent about whether he comes back or not.
Too busy gasping in shock to reply.
LeGarrette Blount has made $6.5 million in 7 seasons combined and had his career year as a 30 year old RB. That's the guy to feel for.
wasn't he recovering from surgery then? This is pretty much the same exact way things played out last off season.
That seems like a good planPats stable of RB's is pretty versatile......adding Blount on a one year deal and drafting a youngster for the future makes sense......
He maybe was still recovering. I'm not sure. Nonetheless, he didn't receive any visits then, as is the case now. So regardless why, it's playing out the same way. And I'm not trying to sound like smart ass, so don't take it that way. I'm just saying that the reasons why here seem irrelevant. There just isn't much of a market for his services besides us and I'm hearing the Giants being mentioned.wasn't he recovering from surgery then?
Not that I'm disagreeing with you necessarily so much as I'm pointing out that that would be 5 RB's. Do the Pats have a history of keeping that many?Pats stable of RB's is pretty versatile......adding Blount on a one year deal and drafting a youngster for the future makes sense......
Whatever became of Patmuslim and Patjehovah'switness?I hope they move on. Shades of 2006 Corey Dillon. Most overrated Pat since Patjew.
They're reforming.Whatever became of Patmuslim and Patjehovah'switness?
I like bringing back LG to have a duo on the thunder side Burkhead/LG. Compliments the duo on the lightning side Lewis/White. The duos lighten the load and guard against injuries.2016

That's not too bad for a guy who they can have on the cheap.
Look at his career. Last year was his best. I wouldn't lean on him for 299 rushes like they did last year, but he fits the bill. A healthy Lewis,White and Burkhardt means he won't be wearing down late in the season.
.
He's money at the goal line but I remember too many 1- and 2-yard carries on first and second down. He carried the ball a lot last year (299 times) and had only seven carries of 20-plus yards. I think people want to see someone with more breakaway ability on first and second downs.I'm guffawing at the posters who are dumping on Blount.
Dude ran for over 1,000 yards last year with 18 touchdowns and he will get less than $2 million next year.
People are acting like he's Bernie Madoff or something.
