hate not wearing my jersey to game..but rain games you really can't unless you want to ruin a nice jersey

Research has shown that the aerosol transmission of the virus is enhanced when the air is cold and dry.

Ok. But you don't get the flu from the cold you get it from other people with the flu.

If it's really 30s and rainy then I'll find a good home for my ticket. Eff sitting in that for 4 hours.

Both teams have to play in the same weather. I can see why y'all think it's a big advantage, but we play pretty good, regardless. No offense (and no pun intended ) but I'll take our running game in bad weather anyday, especially with Tate healthy again. It's not just about Foster anymore.

I wish the Texans would open up the retractable roof more often. I agree that cold and nasty is football weather.

Our running game has been every bit as good, if not slightly better than yours, and the run defenses are pretty equal too.

I agree that y'all have done a good job running the ball, I just don;t think BB or MCD will commit to it like Kubiak will. MCD will take one glance at the Texans defenseive stats for the last few weeks and start throwing the ball around like a beachball at a Jimmy Buffet concert.

I haven't watched enough Pat's games this year to tell how well y'all really are on either side of this discussion. All I have to go on are the stats. Regardless, Kubiak definitely will try to run the ball to eat up the clock, keep Brady off the field and set up the play action. That play action will be our biggest assett if one of our backs gets hot and busts a big run or two. That makes it very hard for linebackers and safeties to keep from biting on the run.

Arctic blast due in ... on Tuesday.

I wouldn't get too jacked up about this. They already experienced similar game condition in the Chicago matchup.

With all due respect for southerners, there is a slight difference between an afternoon in October and a night in December.

and they played cutler that night....

A battle of the scoreboards. I found this posted over on our site and thought it was humorous. I'll bury it here since I can't start a thread yet.

See it here.

Hope you all get a chuckle. I know I did.

F&$@ you.

Oh that site has ads that play sound as soon as you log in. Maybe it is just me, but I prefer a choice to listen to stuff I'd rather ignore.

Oh, BTW, good job winning your division. Oh, you clinched a playoff berth, that is interesting.

Nudge me when you beat the Colts in Indy for the first time, OK. I'd hate to miss it.

Seriously though that was funny, if over long. I recommend relying on your sense of humor Tuesday.

No quiite the opposite, i hate domes. Football should be played outside. But in this instance since we have not played the Texans in a long time, i want a true guage on what we are dealing with quite possibly come playoff time. Better understand your opponent now then in the playoffs.

once again, we disagree. your statement assumes some hypothetical "true guage (sic)" of a team's capabilities that can be best determined with a material reduction of "randomness." my position is that the true gauge of a team's capabilities includes its ability to respond to the unexpected and, indeed, to the "random." that's how one can really "understand your opponent."

The logical conclusion of your argument is that we should wait to play outdoors under ideal weather conditions with both teams playing at full strength, i.e., without injuries, on a neutral field before a crowd of neutral fans or fans divided exactly 50-50 between the two teams. As far as I can tell, that's not going to occur in this league or on this planet.

Supposed to be upper-50s during the day, dropping to low-40s by kickoff, with rain.

I would expect us to spread out the Texans defense to get better matchups. Even with Jonathan Joseph back, they are likely to be without Ball and just put their #3 CB on IR and signed Stanford Routt off the street.

They can still hand off to Ridley or motion one of the spread WRs back into the backfield for an inside draw handoff. We won't run against their base defense, but I could see us running the ball against nickel or dime looks.

I expect us to be balanced.

I think the whole "It's rainy/snowing and ____ Isn't used to cold/poor weather conditions and ____ is!", is a little overrated. These are 2 tough teams, both who are determined to win. There are players on both teams who are used to the cold and there are those who are not.

I can understand that Tom Brady (The Greatest of all time!), is more familiar to poor weather conditions than Matt Schaub, but as others have already stated, Schaub has had good games in similar conditions.

I think this week we will see a change in direction to the week 15 power rankings after the Pats Prove they are the better team. The Texans are a TOUGH team but I think they fall a bit short to the home bound NEP.
