Quick Slants The Podcast
I'm a bit late to the party, but haven't seen a post on this one.
For those who haven't, you do need to start listening to this podcast. Quickly became one of my favs.
Curran and Perry are excellent, they really know the game and the history of the team and do their best to accurately reflect everything. They give a ton of behind the scenes looks at what it's like to cover the team too, in addition to slagging Shaughnessy and some of the local hacks for never showing up for the press conferences but writing total ********.
But mostly, it's fun to listen to their personalities. The writing they do is good, hard-nosed journalism, and some of the best you'll see in the sports world. But listening to them goof off on the air shows a completely different side to them as well.
I'm a huge fan of Curran. I used to not bother because he was on the evil Comcast network, but he's great. The last episode, he tiptoes the electric fence while talking about black people vs. white people when reacting to magic. Just hilarious stuff. And Perry pairs perfectly.
Seriously, if you haven't done it, check it out already. I can't believe it took this long to start listening.
